You know, I really think that this team is a Joe Johnson away from at least being 1-1, possibly 2-0 right now. But that's the breaks.

Suns win game 3.

AS a sports fan and a sunsfan I dont want to deal in reality. We played a good game tonight without one of our best players. I was at the game and hoped for another Nash miracle but it didnt happen. As the teams are now, the Spurs are the better team. If we have Joe (even not at 100 percent) it levels the playing field.
I do beleive in the home court advantage but weren't the Suns 31-10 both at home and road.
Lets take the example of Red Sox fans. It is not over until there are 4 losses

It would of been really boring to win the Series in 4 games (what was I thinking?) but this has been a special year for ME... I called it from the beginning (78-4) not that I'm disappointed. Until the Suns lose a series (if it even happens), I still believe the Suns have a chance.

Something happened to ME the year before Wildcats won Championship and then even D'Backs and the same very thing happened last year, it would mean a lot to ME, if the Suns were the team to win it all but regardless it's been fun times for ME to step out of lurker status last Draft, although most knew of ME before but I spend so much time on here now... I'll be back, regardless what happens this series and even the next time the Suns are in Lottery (2025?) and hopefully the diehards still believe, I do...

Oh and if it's not this year, this year the same occurence happened, who knows maybe this year is the year of the Mercury or Cardinals but I will always be addicted to the Suns, NBA, College and Basketball in general. :)

10 hours after the final buzzer of game two and riding a couple of waves I feel a lot better.

Still, I can't be as optimistic as some of you are. Not as a fan. As a player, I can decide the game's outcome and never give up.
As a fan however, I can only sit and wait.

But right: We had another close game, JJ will be back, we are the best road team and even if we go down 0-3 why shouldn't we become the first team in history to come back?!

So yeah, my post might have been too early. It was just the way I felt after losing that tough game.

On every other year I'd still say it's over. But the 2005' Suns are different. I'm confused. I was shocked after game two, but just a few hours later I can't wait to see game 3. Pure excitement!

Somebody said we would need a miracle.

Do I believe in miracles? No.
Bu I believe in the Phoenix Suns.

I predicted San Antonio in 6 here a few days ago, but privately I was telling people San Antonio in 5. If JJ had been healthy from Game 1 I probably would have said San Antonio in 7. I think San Antonio matches up incredibly well with Phoenix. They have the size and skill around the basket as well as very good perimeter players and a deep bench.

I'm not down on this team at all. IMO it's very likely that they would be up 2-0 if JJ was healthy. A lot of teams go through the playoffs with injuries, but this team has no depth. They have been 7 deep for some time. For the most part their team is young and healthy, so I hasn't been a problem. It just took a freak accident.

I'm probably one of the more pessimistic people on the messageboard, and I still don't think the series is over. If any team could come back from this deficit against a great team like San Antonio it's this Phoenix Suns team. If they get JJ back I think it's possible. It's not probable, but it's possible. This team just has so much heart.

The Spurs had a spectacular home record, but they hosted the Suns only once this season. And the Suns have one of the best road records in league history. Even if the Suns had won Game 2, they would have had to find a way to win a game in San Antonio. Now they can't just win "a game"; they have to start by winning Game 3, specifically. But if they do that, it shatters the illusion that the Spurs are unbeatable at home and it proves that the Suns can beat them at full strength. Of course it's a ridiculous longshot, but you never know.

I just know that I'll be watching on Saturday.

i'll concede that it's possible the suns come back, albeit HIGHLY improbable. does that appease some of you? i could hope for more, but it's just that, hope. i'll hang on with a slim glimmer of hope . . . . db.

No, I'm of the opinion National Lampooons movies have gone WAY down hill in the past few years. Is it worth seeing?

Yes, but it's so old now, it has had plenty of time to go downhill.

By the way, I think the Belushi brothers have been going way downhill after Jim.

Which Belushi brothers are you referring to? There's only Jim, and from what I understand he's been pretty successful recently.

And you think the original Animal House has gone downhill?

Db?

Howdy Suns fans! I am new to your forum, and yes, I am a Spurs fan as well. I enjoy reading what the other teams fans have to say, but I usually don't post. However, I am curious as to what DB means. Could someone out there let me know? If not I understand. Thanks and best of luck!

Only 2 people know for sure, and they won't reveal what it means until after the playoffs.

Oh, and welcome! :D

LOL

It's the only positive thing that will come out of the Phoenix Suns losing in the playoffs. We will finally get to learn what "db" means. I suppose it will probably be a serious letdown. It probably means "dumb bastards" as in why do these "dumb bastards" keep writing "db"? :)

ain't that the truth!

It ain't over till it's over and the fact that Ouchie and I CAN'T reveal what DB actually means shows we have SOME shred of hope left. When we're elimanted or when we win the freaking title - you guys will know - but you can't screw up the DB mojo now!

Oh man - can you imagine how pissed elindholm would be at that point?

You guys do realize that the turning point of the entire playoffs was when Elindholm called DB worthless - WAY TO GO!:D
