I realize the air is a little low in the tire here, meaning we're all grasping at straws but thinking mop up duty means anything, and I mean anything is a stretch at best.

No one's game planned to stop him, he hasn't faced the best a team can throw at him at all.

It's way early for even hope, but when you're a beat dog, any other master looks good I suppose.

But...he's got good size and appears to have a good arm. I'll have to watch the replay some more to see how he was working the defense.

Of course the real problem is he hasn't had to stand behind our offensive line for an enite game.

It always bothered me to see Max hunkered down behind the center. He looked so small and almost as though he was hiding. Whatever else you can say about Skelton, he sure looked like a pro QB and for a couple of plays acted like a good one as well.

I almost agree with Whiz, it could do more damage than good, of course from a fan perspective I want to see anyone but DA, but this season is such a cluster I like my idea of platooning him with DA for a series or two but not really starting.

I don't want to start him into this teams vacation preplanning phase.

I would like to see him in action though, just not starting and getting killed.

Skelton was throwing lasers. His pass to Fitz on the 3rd and a zillion (25 yds) was just not having the reps. If Fitz was at the sideline it would have been first down. Skelton looked good.

The timing was off but otherwise a good throw. It was a nice touch that put it in between the defenders and was placed in a spot that either Fitz gets it or it goes out of bounds.

Like I said not enough of a sample size to really say anything definitive about him but I like the poise and potential he showed

you mean this is not the pre planning phase and it is going to get worse?

These were the same things said about Anderson after week 1 and Hall after week 5. I'm expecting Skelton to suck and I don't blame him but I hope he proves me wrong.
