Is this game ONLY going to be shown on NFL network in Arizona???

I dont understand your question, but it is my understanding that the only way to watch this game will be via NFL Network.

Well that is my question. Will the game only be on NFL network, I other words, it wont be on local TV or ESPN .

I dont have NFL network and need to order it if this is the only way to watch the game. So I wanted to make sure before I order it. We just have basic cable, no digital box.

Generally the local channels also broadcast the home-town games.

Normally NFLN games are shown on the local affiliate, e.g. Phoenix and Philly, probably the Fox affiliate. That's the way it's been in past years.

There is a chance that CH 3 will be able to simulcast it. They've done so in the past with local sports shown on ESPN (they likely will again with MNF next week).

Its tough to tell how strict the NFL Network will be in terms of syndicating it to a local station. My guess is they'll allow it locally but outside of the local market, you'll need the NFL Network

Ok thanks guys! I was hoping that was the case. But yesterday one of my friends insisted that this year it is NFL network only. So I was getting bummed about that.

Don't take any chances, as I'm almost absolutely sure that it will ONLY be on the NFL Network.

Are we able to watch online (nflnetwork.com)? My Thanksgiving destination doesn't offer NFLNetwork in their cable package. :bang:

I might have missed it, but has the NFL gone completely STUPID, and took football off of national TV on Turkey Day??? You've got to be kidding me...

The DET and DAL games both air on the major networks.

Ah.... I see... nothing more than the normal, painful irony of being a Cards fan.
In a year where we actually WANT to watch a Thanksgiving Day game - we get screwed. Normally, since we are long out of a playoff hunt by now I could live without seeing this game...Of course, as Cardinal fate would have it, we get an actual Thanksgiving Day game that matters, and the NFL stiffs us... Amazing... :bang:

I think my in-laws have NFLN, which is where I'll be this year. Los Angeles

The problem is that I'll be forced to watch the game with a dirty cowqueer fan.

Ok so I was told on the other board that the game will be on Fox 10 here in Phoenix, but on NFLN everywhere else. The source was an article earlier in the year and Urban's blog at one point.

Probably because this happened in DC a year or so ago, and congress probably bitched they wouldn't be able to see the Skins

From the Cardinals' Blog;

And as a side note, with "Monday Night Football" coming up and then the NFL Network game on Thanksgiving night, those without cable -- at least in Arizona -- are OK. The Monday night game will be simulcast locally on Ch. 3 (KTVK), while the game in Philly will be on locally on Ch. 10 (Fox).

On a similar note, the NFL needs to get rid of the archaic blackout rule.

I'm fine with the blackout rule as it applies to encouraging sellouts. The only aspect I don't like is the rule that requires no TV competition to the game when the Cardinals are at home which can sometimes reduce the number of games broadcast (when the Cardinals are on the non-double header channel).
