Bandwagon?

Holy crap. You are whiffing like nobody's business. I've been a Laker fan nonstop for 27 years, since I can remember watching games. Bandwagon? I grew up listening to Suns fans blather on and on about the Suns, then disappear for years until the Suns were good again. Bandwagon? You are a funny little creature.

There are die hard fans on both sides and bandwagon fans on both sides, and in all sports.

Kobe's groin injury from the first half of the Rockets game may keep him out of tonight's game.

Good god, injuries are kicking this team in the teeth right now. Lamar, Kwame, Kobe.

All with a tough stretch of games coming up...Orlando, Miami, San Antone, Dallas. Good luck if Kobe is put on the shelf too.

Injuries are actually helping the Lakers more than hurting them. For some ungodly reason, Phil Jackson thinks Kwame is better than Bynum. Now that Bynum is actually playing, the Lakers have somewhat of a threat in the paint.

Although Lamar is a good player, his talents are replacable.

..and Kobe is fine.

Lakers dodge a bullet tonight and beat the Magic by 3. With 9 seconds left and the Lakers up 3, Smush misses two free throws that would have iced it (after having a career night otherwise) and the Magic miss a three to tie. Just one FT Smush...just one.

Bynum in heavy foul trouble all night. TJ, that is why Phil plays Kwame...because he's solid on D and Andrew still is a foul machine when overmatched by guys like Amare, Duncan, KG, Yao, Dwight Howard, etc. The stuff Kwame does doesn't show up in the box score by his name, so unless you are watching each game you probably wouldn't see it. Kwame is a mountain on the inside and frustrates bigs...they don't have great games against him, and they have to work hard for what they get. He's incredibly valuable, even if the boxscore doesn't show it.

Lakers keep from losing 3 games in a row, thank goodness. Very tough stretch coming up with the Texas Two Step coming...ugh. Very well could go 0-3 this week...I'm gonna say we go 2-1. Beat the heat, beat the Mavs, lose to the Spurs. Lamar may be ready to come back this week, but I doubt it. Kwame is a long way off. We may need to sign that pansy ass Webber.

Failed to close it out in regulation but came out strong in OT to win by 6.

Texas two-step starts tonight. Boy, two tough road games back to back. I hope we can get one of 'em.

Plus, we are coming up on a pretty brutal 8 game road trip at the end of the month/start of February.

Lakers beat SA.

Andrew Bynum thinks that is funky fresh.

Hey! We got one of them, and we will at least split with the Spurs being 2-0 on them this year.

I hated losing a ten point lead with about 4 minutes left, but damn if this team isn't getting battle tested like nobody's business this season.

Man, I wish we could get up for the bad teams in the league...I'm tired of losing to those types.

Sick game by Kobe, Bynum hung in there with heavy foul trouble, VladRad hit some MONSTER shots to get us the lead, Smush came up big late after being ice cold early on.

Let's go get those freaking Mavs! (ugh, I hate ass end of back to backs).

The Lakers are 4-1 against the Suns, Spurs and Mavs.

However, they've lost to 4 of the bottom 6 teams in the league. And of the bottom 11, they've lost to 6 of those. Amazing.

"They're all good on the road, they're all golden," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "You value a road win, especially against a team like this that's a really experienced ballclub."

Then Jackson borrowed a line from "Pulp Fiction" - though definitely not verbatim with television cameras present - and downplayed his young team's success in the next breath.

"You know that line in the movie about, `Let's not start patting each other on the back quite yet,"' Jackson said. "That's one of those things. We just think that SanAntonio's a little bit hurt, they're playing a little bit down. We caught a team that didn't shoot the ball very well down the stretch. We're happy for the win, but we're not going to crown ourselves yet."

I love it.

Getting outrebounded 53 to 28, and 9 to 17 on the offensive boards makes you look like ass. This team looked like ass.

I didn't figure they would win this game, but getting blown out like that is inexcusable.

I hope Phil makes everyone not named Sasha or Farmar walk to the next game versus the NOOCH.

This team will be the death of me one day.

And slinslin, if you poked your head in here more than once a decade, we might actually give a crap what you had to say.
