Gotta be careful with the bobcats, they are lottery so teams don't take them too seriously and then bam they come out of nowhere, and when they do all of a sudden they score like a title team.

They were down against the spurs the first time (I think even 22 points) and then completley turned it around too. Gotta keep the clamps on the cats.

Hopefully the suns don't let this happen to them too.

They have some talent, and when they make those kind of comebacks they get incredibly confident. You could see it last night in the second quarter, when they came back on the Lakers...they took ownership of the game and their confidence was visible. 30-18 in the first quarter. 60-60 at halftime. THAT was when that game switched.

Lakers win their 20th game.

However, Kwame out with a SERIOUS sprained ankle. Not good news, not at all.

So far this season: The Lakers are the only team that hasn't played a game decided by three points or less.

or you can be very worried at the piss-poor defense and rebounding we displayed out there. I worry about the latter. This team can hang with anyone offensively, however we have been in a lot of close games this year because we can't clamp down defensively, especially in crunch time, and we haven't learned to put the foot on the neck when we have a lead (we've lost some HUGE leads this season). That concerns me to no end.

Imagine that. Blow a 20 point lead.

This game pissed me off.

HOLD YOUR HAT....Lakers just did the improbable and forced an OT (with Artest out).

And seriously, there is no damn way they should be in an OT, they owned this game.

How we got there:

Team Time Play
LAL 5.0 VladRad made 3pt shot
LAL 5.0 Away From Play foul on Kobe Bryant
SAC 5.0 Mike Bibby missed Technical Free Throw
LAL 4.0 Personal foul on Kobe Bryant
SAC 4.0 Kevin Martin missed 1st of 2 Free Throws
SAC 4.0 Kevin Martin made 2nd of 2 Free Throws
LAL 4.0 20-second Timeout
LAL 1.0 Smush Parker made Layup, Assist Kobe Bryant

EDIT....we won, Kobe has triple double 42-10-10. Won by four. Stupid freaking game and it still pisses me off. We need to learn to put teams away. 12 point lead with 4 minutes left should not equal a sqeaker win in an OT it took a miracle to get to.

:nono:

42-10-9.

:D

And we still haven't been involved in a game decided by 3 points or less. :thud:

Yeah, that's what cbssportsline had though. 42-10-10. I think everyone else messed up ;)

I honestly am infuriated with this game and wanted to slap Kobe after the game when the question was posed "are you more proud of your guys hanging in there or more upset that you let the lead slip away [again]" and Kobe responded the former. All while I'm fuming that the team can't put anyone away, can't rebound or defend (especially in crunch time) and had me up after midnight when I really wanted to go to bed.

We had no business winning that game....and we had no business losing it. Sounds weird, but it's true. We had an easy win, then lost it, then forced a miracle OT. Mind-boggling.

When are you back, lamar odom? The Laker nation turns its lonely eyes to you...ooh ooh ooooh.

Any win at Arco is sweet.

Any win is sweet, I agree. Any win at Arco is doubly sweet too.

I just am getting very worried about us doing the same incorrect things over and over. We are squeaking out wins and that's good. But we are continually getting leads and squandering them, playing poor defense and poor rebounding at crunch time. This is against teams like the Bobcats and the Kings. This can't happen.

It needs to be fixed...needs to be addressed in a freaking HURRY.

:thud:

Lakers win, get a big lead and keep it the whole time, letting the starters sit the fourth. Denver goes down, Lakers get another win.

:thud:

I hope they don't forget this. One of the best Laker games I've seen in a long, long while.

Didn't miss their first 11 shots, Kobe had 8 pts, 10 assists and 5 boards and didn't play since mid third. 5 lakers scored 15 plus points...

I loved the way they kicked their ass tonight...

And Kobe took 3 shots in the first half, 9 total on the night...I guess he was trying to throw the game, huh? /hate the media

22-11 on the season, 11 games over .500 (which would be best record in the East, btw).

From Yahoo: Kobe Bryant had his worst offensive performance of the season, and the Los Angeles Lakers still won easily.

I liked this tidbit from the game as well...

Former USC star and current Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart attended the game wearing Bryant's No. 24 jersey.

God I hate the media...Kobe had perhaps his BEST offensive performance of the season, dishing 7 assists in the first quarter and taking only 3 shots in the first half.

To some, scoring a ton of points = offense and they forget that other things matter.

Kobe had a poor shooting game, but a great offensive performance. There is more to offense than scoring.

Yeah, Kobe is his favorite player...that has to piss off all the Suns/Cards fans.

Wow, what a win. Sasha was money on both ends of the floor. Bynum, when he has it all together, is a force inside.

We FINALLY got to see practice Sasha in a game...the one who rarely misses a shot.

I like Practice Sasha. Player of the game...and it is about time.

Great game, getting the win over Dallas without Odom and Kwame is

[and I have to say, although it is technically correct, I always hate the ruling that the hand is part of the ball]

Kobe Bryant is the biggest a-hole punk in the league.

He now refuses to sign jerseys with his old number, and will only sign a jersey if a person buys a new jersey.

Maybe if someone could LINK it, we could read the article.

I've heard skuttle on this. He signed some agreement where 8's can't be signed, but that's all I know and honestly, don't know if it's true.

FWIW, I haven't seen anything about it by googling multiple terms (Kobe, Sign, Jersey) under sites or news. Link me.
