I seen it it didn't look like anything out of the ordinary to me looked like a regular play by Carmelo

Maybe a regular play for Carmelo but definitely a deliberate and excessive elbow to the face. Good call by the refs.

Yup, I thought he was bracing for contact. I thought it looked like a normal play to me.

I just find it hard to believe he's good enough to drive in, hit a guy with an elbow, AND make the shot. I think he was trying to protect himself from contact but I guess the NBA doesn't agree so what do I know.

Three UCLA players including LiAngelo Ball arrested for shoplifting in China.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...y-riley-jalen-hill-arrested-china-shoplifting

It was apparently a Louis Vuitton store near their hotel.

Talk about stupid, 3 guys much larger than the general population, likely wearing UCLA gear, yeah nobody is going to notice you stealing something.

I'm waiting to hear what they actually did but expulsion from school is not out of the question given the circumstances. The Chancellor of UCLA is on the trip with them he's not going to take this well.

Gelo finding out the downside to being famous, 3 kids involved apparently but his picture is the only one they're putting on ESPN because he's famous

It's about to get REALLY interesting.

Apparently Lavar is saying he's going to hold a press conference soon in China. He's there with his wife and son Melo, had breakfast with the team, and will now reportedly address the media soon.

My guess, he went to the store, paid for the shoplifted items, and is now going to insist it was all a misunderstanding.

Unfortunately, as with narcissistic people, Lavar isn't going to learn humility from this episode. To the contrary, it keeps this talent-less person in the news. Move over, Kardashians.

Turns out he was apparently persuaded to cancel the press conference in the best interests of his sons legal situation.

I guess we should start a Milwaukee, Miami pick watch thread. But maybe we should wait to see whether they are actually going to be in play this year.

The in the paint number is an amazing example of the jump from college to the NBA. He shot over 70% in the paint last year in college.

I've decided that part of why he looked so good at UCLA is the way they ran their offense they had 4 shooters, Welsh, Leaf, Alford and Hamilton(or Holiday) surrounding him so the middle was always open. So when he went inside, there was usually no big there to contest the shot, and if there was, he passed to Welsh or Leaf.

in the NBA the Lakers don't have that so when he gets into the lane he has to finish over bigs and through contact and he's just not strong enough to do it yet.

But I have to admit I knew he'd have a major adjustment but I'm amazed how badly he's shooting. He's going to have to rework his shot and get stronger this offseason.

Lakers/Celtics game last night, Smart went up for a sick block on Ball.

Hyped up by his dad. The media bought it. Now he has to deal with all of it.

Aaron Gordon continues to transform his game. Career highs in every statistical category including 19 PPG on 55/57/76 shooting. The next Kawhi?

No Gordon is not the next Kawhi. Two completely different players with different games and bodies.

Guys like Gordon are easy to find guys who's game depends on athletism. He's more Blake Griffin than Leonard

It was more tongue in cheek but their bodies aren't that different. Kawhi has an underrated handle which AG will probably never have and can't create his own shot yet.

With Gordon developing and Markkanen looking good Miller can finally point to some good pros. Ayton will be a monster.

It is quite amazing how the light just went on for Gordon this year. Could the same thing happen for Chriss?

still can't believe we're not only the one team Lonzo played well against, but that he completely lit us up.

I'm really surprised at how awful his shooting has been.
