And that high teen pick we got... ended up being Dan Majerle. So we got KJ, Majerle, Corbin and West for Larry Nance. A pretty darn good haul. So sometimes the pupu platter is the best thing on the menu.

Granted, that was back in the day when the Suns scouting department was pretty much peerless in the NBA.
But the pupu platter has to have serious talent is my point. A pupu of Monroe, bender, and a pick doesn’t equate to kj, West, Corbin and a pick.

A future Suns pick might make such a platter interesting. Maybe with top 5 protection or something.

I think you'd have to at least start with next year's pick unprotected as the big building block for an MVP candidate in his prime.

Are we still talking about Kahwi? I was just referring to an all-star level player we might look for this summer. I don't think we have the juice to get Kahwi. If the Spurs HAD to trade him, they would be looking for a star player in return.

Ah... I thought we were talking hypothetical Leonard trade still.

Boogie just tore his achilles. Out for the season. That is the worst possible news for him. It is hard to come back from andachilles and he is a free agent this summer. Feel bad for him. Really.

From everything I have heard he was really playing well. The timing is terrible for him.

I wonder how this will impact his FA? Torn Achilles usually aren't chronic or career ending injuries, so he should come back okay. But it has to limit his market and consequently the money he will be offered. He may find he can only return to NO if he wants to get a max deal.

Can't help but wonder if the Pelicans will be looking to trade for a center. This gives another team who might be interested in one of the Suns centers.

Saw it reported before how they were looking for wing help before Cousins injury and this won't trade that. They can move Davis over to play some Center now but they desperately need help on the wing. They don't have many assets as is and if they're only able to address one need I think they'll go for a wing instead of a big.

I would rather have Davis outside as a Person that will score from anywhere. Suns have three centers that could help Davis.

I guess this leaves the Suns out. :p

Paul George has been named as Cousins replacement in the All-Star game. Makes sense they went with a frontcourt player but I'm kind of surprised they didn't use that opportunity to get Lou Williams in the game. He was considered a snub by a number of people and there isn't an LA player in the game despite it taking place in Los Angeles.

A lot of people think Paul George will sign with the Lakers this summer but he made a comment recently about Westbrook that appears like he's going to resign in OKC.

Westbrook was asked about PG13 being snubbed for the ASG and voiced his displeasure for that but when George was made aware of Westbrook's comments George made a statement that appears to be hinting towards him resigning with OKC this summer.

Here is the comment from George...

I think that NBA players keep telling similar things all the time and when their decision comes, they will consider other things as well and easily put messages like that behind them.

yikes. Tobias Harris and a first round pick. I know Avery Bradley, but he is just an expiring. There is a second rounder but that's it.

Good grief. If that is the way the Clippers are doing deals we should send them Monroe and BK for DAJ and Lou. We could throw the Miami first and a second.

Its sarcasm Cheese. Take it easy.

I don't think this trade is that bad for the Clippers. Sure, Griffin is one of the top players at his position in the league, but he has some major downsides. One, being reportedly toxic for the locker room of his team, and second, riddled with injuries. For the last few years he always broke down come playoff time. And he has a huge 170M$ 5 year contract which won't age well at all. The Clippers just decided to pull the plug and go into full rebuild mode, they got some picks and assets, and now will for sure trade Lou and DJ too.

Reports out now that the Clippers traded away Blake so they'd have the money to go after Lebron this summer. Don't see how this helps their chances at all. If anything it gives Lebron an option in Detroit with Drummond, Griffin, and Reggie Jackson. Not saying he'd choose either but I think Detroit is the more attractive option for someone looking to compete.
