So much happening this morning. If it hasn't already been reported Monroe will sign with the
Celtics.

New Orleans was able to offer only $2.2M to Monroe for balance of season. Cousins was injured past cutoff date to get Disabled Player Exception. Celtics had $8.4M to use via Gordon Hayward injury.

The Greg Monroe $5M contract for 10 weeks of work with the Celtics( plus the playoffs) is equal to a player signing a $13M contract before the season started.

So I'm thinking the Suns waived him to save significant money. Also, I'm guessing this would be why they didn't wait until the trade deadline.

Plus McDonough is on good terms with the Celtics.

They owe us!

I was just reading about Monroe signing with Boston. I would have preferred he signed with New Orleans so they could make a playoff push but he'll help the Celtics a good bit when they end up playing Cleveland in the postseason. The Celtics could be the favorites to make it out of the East, which would be a nice change. Lebron might actually come back stronger next year if he's able to quit playing a month sooner than he has the last 7 years now.

He talking about our record when Monroe plays vs. when he doesn't. We have a terrible record when he plays.

Ok, took me a minute to figure out what he was trying to say. It wasn't worded that well. Since acquiring Monroe the Suns went 2-10 in the games in which he played while they went 9-7 when he sat. There was a stretch there that Booker was out and Monroe was also used a lot on the 2nd night of back to backs. I know that doesn't tell the whole story though.

If Jason Kidd, who couldn't coach his young players in Milwaukee comes to the Suns (and all of its young players), ever gets hired as Suns Head Coach, I will :pullhair: (the little I have left).

Even Sarver couldn't be that ignorant . . . could he?

assume that's a rhetorical question, right?
