Wow, so now we have video evidence of Rondo spitting on Paul. What a sneaky devil. That was a masterful no-look spit job imperceptible to the naked eye. Unfortunately for Rondo, we have video cameras from most angles and slo-mo replays.

So Paul looks much better in my eyes after seeing this nasty act by Rondo. Plus Rondo throws the first punch.

yes, if rondo was yelling he could say the spit was accidental
but he fired inconspicuously

sure, it's only a little saliva
and as a legal matter, you can't claim self-defense if you strike someone who spits on you
but in professional sports, i believe they should consider spitting the first punch
i think a finger in the face is a technical but not first punch level

so, to me Rondo's suspension is based on 2 counts of initiating an assault
Ingram is also guilty twice (and both are guilty of being weasels as well)

Paul's reaction is understandable, but punishable

enjoy LA, Lebron
and it's only game 2. he hasn't even tangled with Lavar Ball yet

The suspensions actually look about right. Ingram appeared to be the instigator.

Rondo is a great liar.

Rondo made the case that he didn't spit on Paul and was provoked into throwing a punch after Paul poked a finger into his face and left a scratch under his right eye, league sources said. Rondo also pointed to the fact he was wearing a mouthguard, which would impact his ability to intentionally spit on someone.

as the vid clip shows, it did "impact" his ability to launch a loogie. but it didn't prevent it.

On a serious note, I think the punishment is too light here. It should have been more like six games for Rondo, four for Paul, and 10 for Ingram.

poo. I'd rather have GS roll their opponent before us. They will be out for blood tomorrow!

I still would have preferred GS win tonight. No need to get their attention.

They did not play very well in their previous game against Utah either. Utah did make it very difficult for them which was the biggest factor but I think the Warriors may also be having some hangover off the back to back title years.

The Lakers are likely to struggle to make the playoffs, but if it makes anyone doubt LeBron they should take note of the Cavs this year.

That is the worst team in the NBA, I think there is a real chance they win less than 20 games.
