A guy on BRO is claiming LeBron actually has a sports hernia not a groin injury and he's going to be out longer than the Lakers are letting on.

Has LeBron ever had an injury like this before. He has usually just always played.

Father time is undefeated. James has done a great job of escaping father time, but it has got to catch up eventually. It is amazing to me that considering how old he is and how much mileage he has that he has never had significant injuries.

This is my thought with AD. Lebron has got to decline at some point. In 5 years Davis is gonna be 30 years old in his prime and LBJ is gonna be a shell of his former self.

Father Time is undefeated but sometimes it takes him a little longer when he faces off against Uncle Steroid and all his cousins. Not that I'm implying anything here.

Yeah but AD likely gets the closest he gets to a ring (if not outright winning one) while playing with Lebron and then gets to recruit from LA afterwards. Lebron’s age doesn’t factor in unless he was already in obvious decline which he hasnt shown.

I had a hernia a couple of years ago. The surgeon recommended double hernia surgery (saying that eventually it would seek out the other side). I agreed and they inserted mesh on both sides. It had nothing to do with my groin area.

Is a sports hernia the same situation or is that a category all its own?

Pelicans can decide to be ***** and force him to play out his contract. That's yet another year for Lebron to slow down. Downside is that they risk losing him for nothing, so it's probably not a good move.

If you think about it, the best thing NO can do is hold onto Davis for the duration of his contract. In order for the Lakers to sign him in 2020, they'd have to preserve cap space for two off-seasons.

Trying to keep a max space open for Davis in 2020 while trying to surround James with a competitive roster in the 2019-2020 season wou be tough to do.

The summer of 2020, Davis could join the Lakers and a nearly 36 year old James. They'd likely lose Ingram because he would be a restricted free agent that same summer and they would likely have to renounce him to sign Davis.

You are such a troll.
Seriously, I hear this often, but there’s no information to back up that sentiment. If anything, the league makes it hard as possible for LA to obtain players.
BTW just because you don’t agree with everything here doesn’t make you a troll. I follow the Suns as much as anyone here, but the mis information here is unbelievable.

To further illustrate how close LeBron is to a decline, take a look at the rest of his draft class.

Only Wade taking a farewell lap remains.

I fail to see what all those other guys have to do with LeBron. He is still playing at a near MVP level right now and there is nothing to suggest that he won't still be playing very well for the next few years still. Some guys play well into their late 30s and LeBron may very well be one of those guys.

Lebron is unique as you point out with his level of play. He is still playing great.

When Lebron does slow down he will always be a very good player for years to come.

Name a player who has led a championship contending team and dominated past 35 years old.

The closest I can come up with is Kareem but he wasn't exactly the leader. He was still dominant though, at least when needed, and I highly doubt they win that championship in 85 without him.

Again I don't see the value in comparing him to others. The fact of the matter is that LeBron is still playing like an MVP at 34 years old. It would defy logic to assume that as soon as he is over 35 he will hit some imaginary wall and immediately not be great anymore. Obviously he will eventually slow down enough to no longer be effective, but that could be a year from now or it could be 5 years from now. We won't really know until it happens.
