Saric and Kaminsky are still better than Bender, even performing like they are.

I don't think Bender is ever coming back. If the Suns ever moved a guard, e.g., Okobo, I'd like to have more depth at the 4/5.

I get the idea but at the same time Cleveland sent Anthony Bennett down in year 1 of his career. That should have killed the idea that high picks shouldn't be assigned to the G-League.

For very high draft picks it seems to me that they've been far more willing to use it for rehabbing and conditioning than as a teaching tool IMO. Bennett came into his rookie year clueless, overweight and still struggling to come all the way back from his surgery. I don't know for sure but I'd be surprised if conditioning wasn't the primary reason they sent him down.

They still have a Two-Way contract available. They used one on Jared Harper and the other is free. I remember that it was thought Tariq Owens would get the second but he didn't show much of anything worthwhile in preseason. Maybe they'll find someone soon.

I think they might have been waiting to see what happened with Ayton's appeal before doing something but I imagine they've heard something by now and it doesn't look good. I'd like to see someone brought in on that other Two-Way deal who can provide some depth to the frontcourt.

The Suns may be waiting as you point out. Norense Odiase or Tariq Owens seem like long shots. I'm not sure who might be available. The Suns might be even waiting for a trade but they don't have any second round picks the next two drafts. They might try to trade for a power forward at the trade deadline.

Actually we never should have drafted him to start

Yeah, that was a horrible call by our front office helped along by some pretty poor timing. If Giannis and especially Porzingis hadn't just taken the NBA by storm no way would any team have drafted an international player that they knew virtually nothing about.

We absolutely should have done it from the start but then again, it's a lot easier to send down some other team's castoff than it is the number 4 pick.
Excellent point! When a member of the rotation is demoted, it is always
better to give him a fresh start somewhere else, rather than keep him
around to languish in it.

If he succeeds, whether it is due to himself or coaching, good for him.
It didn't happen here over time.

If he fails, then it is a second organization confirming what we realized.

Psychology, for the team, the fans and the player, is best when utilized.

Celtics catch a tough break. Hayward might need surgery for fractured hand but he will see a specialist to determine if it is necessary.

Boston's Gordon Hayward will see a specialist on Monday to determine need for surgery on fractured left hand, agent Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. If needed, surgery will take place Monday. Timeline on a return is unclear until then.

Glad to see the Charlotte fans and arena crew is classy enough to show Kemba Walker support when he returned to play with Boston. The first and last time a former players should be celebrated, provided they left on decent terms.

One of the saddest things I remember seeing as a basketball fan was how Jordan was introduced when he returned to Chicago as a member of the Wizards. Their PA announcer's intro for him as a Bull was fantastic and helped build Jordan's presence some. Hearing it be done by the same guy in a monotone way with no details whatsoever seemed wrong.

Iverson’s return to Philly is still one of my favorites.

Well, this development didn't take long...

Mike D is using, in essence, a 7 man rotation.

I think things are primed to get really really bad in Houston this year.

I'm thinking we might hear about Mike D retiring over the next few months.

It might be the season for things that shouldn't be taken.

From the linked article above.

Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters experienced a panic attack on the team's charter flight Thursday night after consuming a THC-infused edible, sources told ESPN.

Waiters received medical treatment after the plane landed in Los Angeles following the Heat's victory over the Phoenix Suns. Waiters was listed as out for Friday's game against the Lakers due to illness and did not attend the game.

I would suggest that if you're going to eat an edible, keep a bottle of CBD rich tincture handy. It should nullify it fairly quickly.

An edible has always meant something to eat and nothing more for me but somehow it has developed a new meaning.

I have so much to learn.

The info could’ve come in handy when I had my brownies meltdown. For the record I’ve always hated THC effects but am an avid CBD user. I use 10:1 CBD drops.

So the Wolves just went on a 16-0 run to force OT. Not sure if I have ever seen anything quite like it before.

Dion Waiters suspended 10 games by Heat.

So what about NBA?

I guess marijuana is treated differently from other drugs by the NBA.

Marijuana is a three step punishment process. First offense gets a warning, 2nd gets a fine and the 3rd results in a 5 games suspension.

The lesson is, don't use a diuretic drugs to purge marijuana. I'm not referring to a player.
