Really? Weird.

If i recall, it was a compliment to Booker and a not so veiled slight at Mitchell and perhaps some other Jazz players.

Something about how Booker is a guy who competes on every play and busts his butt on D and the Jazz don't have that.

this board would be EN FUEGO if we lost CP3/Book to a majorly injury up 30, with 4 minutes to go in a close out game.

Doc is now trying to defend it. Saying he doesn't regret leaving him out there.

Rivers seems to say the worst things. He put Harden on blast late in the season, blaming him for a loss. Last year he basically laid their playoff failures on Ben Simmons. As a coach you can't say things like that. He's not new, he just seems like he doesn't care anymore.

Here's a link to the article with him addressing Embiid's injury, saying the Raptors has their guys out there. Of course they did though since it was a closeout game for them. Lose and go home. Maybe don't pull all your starters if you're Philly but pull your injury prone star.

Really? Weird.

ESPN's mentioned it in a piece about Utah's future....

Gobert then delved into the Jazz's defensive issues and his concern that they had been guilty of coasting. It was a concern shared by many in the organization.

"We know that when the playoffs come, we're not just going to flip a switch and all of the sudden communicate, all of the sudden be able to stay in front of our man, all of the sudden be able to rebound," Gobert said. "When I watch some of these other teams like the Suns or the Warriors, for example, those guys are a step ahead of us in terms of winning habits. I feel like they take every game personally.

"You can tell Devin Booker is playing his ass off defensively."

The mention of Booker was a record-scratch moment for Mitchell, his inner circle and many with the Jazz, who immediately recognized how that reference would be received. Whether it was intended -- Gobert insists it wasn't -- bringing up Booker was widely perceived as a thinly veiled shot at Mitchell.

Here's a link to the full article...

Mitchell is the reigning NBA Snowflake of the Year. The guy isn’t going to get along with any star regardless of the team.

They have a real culture problem in Utah.

Apparently Mike Conley also mentioned Booker by name but he was given a pass since he also mentioned Chris Paul at the same time. That article above touches on it and give Conley a pass, since he's a PG and mentioned another PG with Book. Seems flimsy and I'm surprised the author made an excuse for why that's ok for Conley but not Gobert.

Mitchell should have manned up and played harder rather than being a child, allowing more of a divide to form between himself and Gobert.

I totally spaced out that Dwayne Wade was part of the Jazz ownership group. I'm not sure how much he owns, it's at least 1% but that's all I could find as far as info. He's been a mentor for Mitchell since entering the league and Mitchell has gotten worse since Wade bought into the Jazz because Wade has met with him the last 2 off-seasons to seek input on what should be done.

I doubt they choose Gobert if they split them up and that'll be a mistake, IMO. Gobert is their defense and Mitchell will look so much worse defensively without Rudy cleaning up his mess.

The "Above the Rim" stream feature on ESPN is pretty cool. There's no announcers so you can really hear the floor and what the guys are saying. Couldn't watch it for a whole game, but for a few minutes here and there it's definitely a nice feature.

My goodness Boston and Bucks are ridiculously sloppy. Also...pretty obvious the Nets made Boston look a lot better than they really are.

The Jazz have some issues most them dating back to the 2021 playoffs when the Clippers exposed them offensively and defensively.

I’m sure I would take it over listening to Mark Jackson.

The Celtics have been reduced to taking 3P shots in the 1st half.

Quinn should of put an end to this right when it all started. He’s just as guilty

Mitchell is the most overrated player in the NBA

Middleton is supposed to be reevaluated in about 2 weeks.

I don't think the Celtics have the personnel to beat the Bucks in a seven game series unless they can make an adjustment.

Bucks have too much size including Giannis.

Celtics can't get inside.

The Bucks came in and punched the Celtics right in the face. Bucks look great, even without Middleton.

I imagine Quinn has tried but as long as Mitchell has ownerships ear, he doesn't need to bend.

Quinn chose not to sign an extension last off-season and could bounce this summer. I think he will depending on how the team solves the Gobert/Mitchell situation because it needs to be done now. Not addressing it this summer is a recipe for another disappointing season.

Bucks are returning to the finals.

Miami could pose a real threat if they can get their head on right but they seem to be their own worst enemy with their chemistry issues. I guess it's not so much chemistry issues as a whole but Jimmy Butler issues, specifically. Dude is talented but he's not worth the headache, IMO.

This might be a case of careful what you wish for, but If we beat GS, I want Milwaukee in the Finals. This whole season has been the unfinished business tour and nothing would feel better than taking the title back from the team we handed it to last year.
