The last trailer sounds more like an infomercial. I have expected to hear they would double my order for just $19.99 and I would get a bonus set of Tupperware.

Avengers: Age of Ultron won't have a post-credit scene, Joss Whedon says

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/04/0...oss-whedon-says?xid=email-top25-hero-20150408

The makers of Avengers: Age of Ultron want you to know something about this film’s post-credits ending: It’s not there.

Ever since 2008’s Iron Man concluded with a surprise scene of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury revealing to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark that he has “become part of a bigger universe,” fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have known to stick around to the very end for a surprise.

But this time …

Writer-director Joss Whedon says there won’t be a post-credits scene in Ultron because he felt there was no way to top the post-battle shawarma scene from the last one. “We all came at it separately—we don’t want to chase that,” Whedon says. “That was a jewel and a weird little quirk. “

“There will be a tag,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige clarifies. That is, there will be a short, epilogue-like scene that pops up shortly after the credits start. “But there’s not a post-post-credit scene.”

“There is nothing at the very end. And that’s not a fake-out,” Whedon says. “We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’”

Booooo. No scene at the end. I guess I am OK with a tag scene but I like the after the credits scene.

Still seeing it, but The Vision looks strange with visible eyes.

I think with this version they want the humanity to show through on the character. I think with live action that means seeing the eyes.

You wouldn't like the original comics much then. :)

Maybe, maybe not. I thought Ant Man was cool in the comics but I think it would be a difficult transition to the screen, at least the screen as built for the current Avengers franchise(s).

But then again.... I've been wrong before...... ;)

That really has nothing to do with it actually. I don't think everything in the comics translates well to the big screen. I simply don't want to see some of the costumes, storyline and specific adaptations because they would end up being ultra campy.

This. Ant Man would have felt completely out of place in the world and narrative that Whedon helped build. I think they did the right thing with Ant Man and kept him separate to even see if he translates well.

It's smart. If the movie fails, it really has no impact on the larger Marvel cinematic universe as they built it.

Just got home from an advanced screening. IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Good times forsure. Funny, good plot, good new characters. Bad ass movie. A

Elizabeth Olson borderline stole the show. In a good way. :)

R/T has this at 73%.

I'm guessing that some of these critics either just don't get it, and/or are doing their usual, typical dis on a first sequel. Everything I hear/read from "regular folks" screams "awesome." Can't wait to see it!

Critics must have read my troll on Stout in the Fantastic Four thread.
