Am I the only one that says a great irony here?? NBC is showcasing a show about people losing weight......all the while the audience sits on their rears getting fatter??
:shrug::shrug:

I seriously yelled at my wife to stop watching that stupid show and come drink beer with me.

I slept on the couch that night.

Awwwww!!!! I hope it lasts! Of all the spot light relationships out there, I think this one has the most potential. As Matt said in the interview on Extra, they've seen each other at their worst and are still friends.

Matt and Suzy during the "Biggest Loser" finale.

They competed against each other during this season of NBC's "The Biggest Loser."

But now, it looks like Matt and Suzy are a team.

"Biggest Loser" winner Matt Hoover and third-place finisher Suzy Preston, who together lost a combined 248 pounds on the show, are a couple, according to People magazine.

"I think it's going to be great," says Hoover, 29, a former salesman. "She is awesome."

The way they met was anything but normal. Suzy was a bespectacled 220-lbs. and Matt was a burly 339.

"I saw him at his worst, absolutely," Preston told People. "And he saw me at my worst. He saw me sweating and passing gas."

Hoover thinks their shared experiences as finalists on "Loser" (he won the $250,000 grand prize, and now weighs 182 pounds; she took home $25,000 as second runner-up, and weighs 132 pounds) gives their romance a unique foundation.

"We have a lot in common. Going through something like we went through is life-changing. We are not the same people we were before all this and we are both at a point in our lives where we know what it's like to be fat and miserable - and what it's like to be happy and healthy," Matt said.

Hoover, who lives in Iowa, said he is contemplating a move to be closer to Preston, a hairstylist, in Seattle.

The story apepars in the new issue of People, which hits newsstands on January 9.

The Biggest Loser: Special Edition

NBC Sets 'Biggest Loser' Specials for New Year

Moving quickly to capitalize on the momentum from the second season of "Biggest Loser," NBC has scheduled a series of themed "Loser" specials to air in January and February to help ease the pain of waiting for the show's third installment.

Each of the specials will condense the weight-loss journey down to two hours, pitting family against family or engaged couple against engaged couple. Each special will begin with the contestants going to the "Biggest Loser" ranch and training with Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels and the first episode will end with a weigh-in and prize. The second hour will follow the teams back to the real world to show which group has lost the greatest percentage of weight and will win a $50,000 prize.

Caroline Rhea will host the specials.

"The Biggest Loser: Special Edition" will have a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 4 beginning at 8 p.m. ET. In the episode, the Muha family from Tampa and the Samuel family from Atlanta will have what NBC coyly describes as a "dessert battle in the desert."

The following week, engaged couples Steve and Sarah from Allentown, Pennsylvania and Edwin and Rasha from Portland, Oregon will fight to lose weight before their wedding day. On Jan. 18, the winners of the $50,000 wedding will be revealed.

One-hour episodes on Feb. 1 and Feb. 8, the Sapienza family from the Bronx and the Senti family from Peoria, Illinois will go head-to-head.

The second season of "The Biggest Loser" looked like a minor disappointment for NBC, but the series added viewers every week leading up to its Nov. 29 finale. It's unclear when the third season will air.
