1. Trade Anquan Boldin to the Dolphins for QB Tyler Thigpen and the Dolphins' 3rd round pick.

2. Trade Matt Leinart, Cody Brown and the #26 pick (1st Round) to Denver for OLB Elvis Dumervil.

at least i agree with #10. Do you think you may overvalue Dumevil a bit? We may as well throw in Beanie as well. If that was your dream scenario, i would hate to see your nightmare.

I like the Foote idea but any dream off season,to me, should start with the acquisition of Vince Wilfork and not end with my QB battle being between BSP, Jeff Garcia, and Tyler Thigpen while giving up Boldin, Leinart, Brown and a #1 pick.

.

So trade last year's 2nd rounder, who happens to be an OLB, AND Matt Leinart, AND a 1st rounder, for one guy?

Hey, I got a better idea...let's trade down in the first round for a two consecutive 1st-round picks, say from #6 to #16 and 17. Then we'll ADD a 4th rounder, AND trade BACK in the 2nd round.

Actually, that WOULD be a better trade than the utter lunacy you're espousing. I am glad that not even Graves is that crazy.

While we're at it, let's trade Fitz and AW

That sounds like a good idea to me :sarcasm:

1. Trade Anquan Boldin to the Patriots or Bucs for 2 second round picks. Both teams are in need of help at WR.

2. Keep Matt Leinart, Cody Brown and the #26 pick (1st Round). Matt Leinart is going to be better than people expect, especially since this offense will be tailored to him, rather than him trying to execute in a system tailored for Kurt Warner.

3. Hire Keith Butler (Steelers' LB Coach) as defensive coordinator. Keith Butler has zero plans of leaving Pittsburgh. Already turned down a chance to be Miami's DC, and stated he's happy where he's at.

4. Sign NT Casey Hampton (Steelers UFA) to a 3 year $19M contract with $7M guaranteed. This one I like...though I would prefer Wilfork.

5. Sign LB Larry Foote (Lions UFA) to a 3 year $9M contract with $3m guaranteed. I could live with this one as well.

6. Sign Trent Edwards and Broyde Croyle as our QB depth. I feel both were victims of a bad system and/or surrounding talent.

7. Re-sign:

TE Anthony Becht
G Deuce Lutui
C Lyle Sendelin
T/G Jeremy Bridges
FS Matt Ware

8. Keep CB Bryant McFadden but use him as our Nickel Back. He'll be better at Nickel back than anything else we have or anything currently out there. Sign FS Antrel Rolle to a 5 year $30M contract with $7M guaranteed.

9. Draft:

Round 1: DT Terrence Cody, Alabama if we don't get Wilfork. Hampton is getting old and we'll need a replacement in a couple years.
Round 2: Brandon Graham OLB, Michigan
Round 2: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB/FS Indiana University of Penn.
Round 2: Eric Norwood OLB SCU
Round 3: Linval Joseph DT/DE, East Carolina 6'6 320lbs versatile enough to be an outstanding rotational DE in our system, and can really solidify our goal line/short distance defense
Round 4: Micah Johnson ILB Kentucky
Round 5: Sean Lee ILB Penn State
Round 6: Crezdon Butler CB Clemson
Round 7: Chris Scott OT Tennessee
Round 7 (supplimental): John Skelton QB Fordham

10. Re-sign HC Ken Whisenhunt to a 5 year $30M deal. Totally agree!

11. Sign Vernon Gholston if he's cut. Won't have any leverage to demand a large deal. Worst case scenario, he's just camp fodder. Best case scenario, he's a late bloomer and develops into what alot of people though he would.

12. Onrea Jones makes the roster and becomes the #4 receiver.

Im not sure if I would trade anyone of them 1-1 with Elvis. Leinart for Elvis? No.
#26 for Elvis? no. Maybe Brown for Elvis might be all I could do. But all three? That is insane.

No catcalls from me as we are all entitled to our say

yes on
4/5/6/10

Matt has to play his way out of the top job

Pennington if healthy has the same type of head as top tier and retired qb's. I am not saying he is in that class, but he really understands the game. I also am a Garcia fan as a fine backup.

I applaud the boldness, Mitch. Definitely entertaining. However, I would be extremely frustrated by #1,#2, and the majority of the draft.

I just cant see how going into the season with the choice of Thigpen or a rookie Lefevour as your starting QB on day 1 qualifies as a "dream off season".

I stopped reading after I realized you operate under the assumption that Tyler Thigpen has QBOF potential. Perhaps we should rehire Dave McGinnis and send Whisenhunt packing while we are at it.

Well maybe keep Boldin...I think he means to much for us and he is our Heart. So trade Leinart and 26 pick for McNabb.

Take Mitch's comments about QBs with a grain of salt. This is the same guy that said both Shane Boyd and BSP would be the QBoF. And Matt Leinart pissed in his corn flakes last week; therefore, he holds a grudge.

Brown for Elvis is a no brainer. It would take more than that. I
'm sure they don't even want to move him.

What do you see in Thigpen. Is that the same one who was on KC?

Might as well trade our entire team for Aaron Rodgers while we're at it.

Tyler Thigpen is this years BSP. Divide is VERY right with this. It's gonna be a long off-season of long threads with very specific things that no one could guess, and with the only constant being Thigpen.
