The Cardinals beat themselves - are you kidding me? They had Pedro on the ropes - and HE RECOVERED AND SILENCED THEM - They couldn't even overcome 4 errors to beat Boston in Game One and then they just curled up and died last night.

There is no title for regular season wins - you just sound like a bitter Cards fan who can't admit his team just got the everliving snot kicked out of them.

Suppan got pedro out of the inning, and i am a braves fan not a cards fan. Wouldnt the Cardinals not overcoming 4 errors mean they beat themselves? They had the chances but didnt capitalize.

I grew up in CT, went to school in Boston, and lived there for 8 years after graduation. So go ahead and throw around your "credentials" if it makes you feel superior. Saying Red Sox fans will be unhappy because they now have "nothing to complain about" is sheer ignorance. I'll give it to the Red Sox, they had the best team in baseball this year. As a matter of fact, the day they traded Nomar, I commented on this board about how much it made the Red Sox that much better and the Cubs worse when most people cried foul over it.
