Once you get done venting over the decision and come to terms with the fact we can't change it, come over here and we'll encourage each other.

- Kurt Thomas now knows he'll have to give at least 38 minutes tomorrow. He'll be mentally ready with no fear of the hook. He should play confident.

- Pat Burke knows he's going in tomorrow and he can't play the clown. He'll have to be ready for whatever minutes he gets, and he'll know his job is to do whatever he can to slow down Duncan while grabbing rebounds. Not his strong suit, but at least he'll have a clearly defined mission when he hits the floor.

- Jalen rose knows he'll play tomorrow and the Suns will probably use him in the Diaw role. I can see him posting up and trying to set other guys up with Nash off the floor. It will be a slow game so be patient, watch the spacing, and keep moving without the ball.

- Barbosa officially has the green light. He'll probably play like diarrhea the first quarter, but he'll settle down and have plenty of time to work his game.

- The energy for the Suns will be through the roof in the first quarter. The key is not blowing the wad in the first 12 minutes. Keep their heads and play smart basketball. Nash needs to score. Lots. Maybe 35 to 40 points.

- Bell knows he has to assert himself. We probably need a 20 point game from him.

Anything else I forgot?

Marcus Banks is stretching out his towel waving arm right this second. In fact I over heard someone saying he asked for an extra cortizone shot in the shoulder so he can go all 48 minutes.

Marion needs to be the player he believes himself to be for more than a quarter. He was all universe defense in the 4th yesterday after being virtually invisible for most of the game. He plays like that, we have a shot.

Marion will need to score 20-25+ pts and 9-12 pts from JR would be great too. Banks will get some minutes on Parker and needs to step up too.

Um yeah...Shawn freaking Marion needs to have a monster game tomorrow night, similar to the last 3 minutes of game 4.

Marcus Banks needs to come in and slow down Parker, leaving Marion the opportunity to bust out a bit and take over the game. If Marion wants the attention he craves, then this Game 5 is the PERFECT opportunity to prove to everyone (the NBA and us) that he can do it.

Barbosa better come to play tomorrow unlike the last 4 games of this series.

Marion needs to contribute offensively, in addition to covering Parker.

If Marion can somehow propel the Suns to a wildly improbable victory, his reputation will be ironclad forever. Unfortunately I regard that as completely impossible.

The Suns' only hope is to run like hell, play no defense (since they can't afford to pick up fouls), hope that the Spurs get stupidly dragged into a running game, and make about 25 threes.

Well, since we're looking at the bright side in this thread... it'll be more feasible to double Duncan in this game, without the thug lined up at the 3-point line (not that the spurs don't have others that can shoot it).

I think the Suns will play small ball at times too, and try to run the spurs out of the building.

The funny thing is the Spurs aren't going to guard Burke, but he's fully capable of knocking off a few in a row. Now THAT would be funny.

I wonder how seriously the Spurs are taking the Suns. One thing's for sure -- they won't have a clue how to prepare for this team ... or at least not the reserves.

Oh, another guy who could come off to launch 3s is Eric Piatkowski. The Polish Rifle won't be bashful about shooting.

Does anybody remember when the Suns played the Warriors late in the year? We were getting blown out and Dantoni went to the reserves like Banks, Pike and Jalen. They made a great comeback and almost won the game. I know the warriors are different than the Spurs but if we could get one good game out of them we could deffinetly win this game when you add back nash bell lb and marion.

unfortunately, b/c of dantoni's short rotation all year, the reserves won't have a clue how to prepare for this game either . . .

I think this very reason is why D'Antonio would get pissed at Burke for those shots.. We may need him in a real game and he wont know how to act in a real game..

I would feel very disturbed with myself if I actually said his nickname in any conversation..

I am not one that thinks we need Burke to play goon here but I do think we need his physical..ness in there.

I think it will really put the Spurs on their heels. Mainly because with all this talk and what has taken place its gotta be in their head. I think a Spur will crap himself at some point tomorrow night just out of fear.

Worth the price of admission.

I just don't know how D'Antoni can solidify a lineup literally overnight. But, the Spurs have 150% of the pressure on THEM.
