It wasn't like the guy slammed over the top of Lebron. It was more like Lebron was out of position to the side of the basket and the guy dunked it around him. Much ado about nothing, imho.

You're right. With all the hype around it, I was expecting a Carter/Weis type of dunk. Wow, that was weak.

I find it hard to get past the image of Lebron asking someone to confiscate the video.

i knew it was just the kid trying to get attention. For playing basketball all his life, he sure has a skewed understanding of what dunking OVER someone is.

If by "this kid" you mean Lebron, then I agree with you. You do realize that it was Lebron who made a big deal out of it right?

Lebron acted pretty insecure in my opinion. The dunk was not that bad.

I saw a whole compilation of dunks over Lebron on YouTube. Yao certainly sealed the deal.

A young Amare, prior to injury, would not have had any problems. Amare used to fly so high above the rim he actually used to routinely throw the ball down through the top of the hoop. I think we all tend to forget how good Amare really was. Didn't he score like over 40 points against the Spurs in a playoff game. No one would be talking about trading that Amare.

In a van...down by the river.
No offense to the OP but we have an NBA talk subforum located at the top of the page.
This topic is very much unrelated to anything relevant to the SUNS impotent offseason:D

Now THIS is a dunk my young droogies....:D

Enjoyed seeing this dunk again. Too bad KJ routinely took hard poundings by going to the hoop with the referees seldom making a call (not referring to this video). No wonder his hamstrings shortened his career. He could fly.

Its fun to watch that dunk with tunnel vision, sure. But none of us will ever know if Hakeen was actually trying to defend him. It was a garbage time slam with nothing on the line. But in a vacuum, its awesome.

All you have to do is watch the video and look at Hakeem coming over to step in front of him and putting his arms up to know the answer to that.

It was a year or two after we went to the finals. Got beat by that Houston team twice. Only guy showing up was KJ. Barkley and Majerle & co was not to be seen...

Fair enough. He certainly rotated over in time to get a clearing forearm to his neck.

game was over.

This is true. Part of the reason that Johnson had such a clear path to the basket was that the Rockets were (correctly) figuring that the Suns should be launching desperation threes.

It was a meaningless play in a sad, sad game.
