Vikings... Jets... there's a few more...

Dockett and Dansby combined for 13 tackles and 1 sack against the Vikings.

Dockett had a sack against the Jets that caused a missed FG.

Keep trying.

Whatever Duck... I honestly don't care how they performed in those games... You and I will disagree on this entire matter - that's cool...

I think Q and DD are punks and in the end, I just don't appreciate their juvenile antics.

Have a great day...

;)

You care how players act off the field and I don't. Nothing wrong with that.

What is most distressing about the jersey thing is that it is like an FU, to the fans, because we all seem to be taking it personally. I'm sure the team has no problem with the way the jerseys were worn---or else there would be rules about it.

My knee jerk reaction was that they were sending a message to me (yeah I know--will discuss my ego issues later). That they had no respect for the fans of the team, I don't feel like we deserve that, of all the interested parties we did nothing to cause the situation, except to admire them; and have no real control of the outcome, sure we could all boycott, but really Q, DD you are not worth it--and I guess that is my diss on you.

The Cardinals will continue on...and we will be in our seats screaming our voices raw and though it will fade in time a bit of resentment on how you treated OUR best season ever will linger in the minds of long time fans.

I don't think so. Just look at the thread I bumped about Adrian Wilson. People were ready to run him out of town on a rail and now he is one of if not the favorite player of the majority of Cardinal fans.

Winning cures a lot of ills. It sure made everyone forget that Dockett and Boldin were pulling the same shenanigans this time last year.

NFC Champions baby. The players can act up all they want and it won't effect how proud I'm going to feel wearing that shirt on opening day 2009.

Dansby had 14 tackles and one sack in those two games. Try again.

Now how about Doggin-it Dockett's stats in those games?
Nice try in spinning both their stats as a group, Dockett sucked ass in those games.

Furthermore, why are you throwing Dansby in the mix anyway? This is a thread about the sore hammy, shirt around the neck crybabies, not Dansby.

Oh I'm sorry, were they not paid for those games?

My bad.
my point was the whole team stunk in those games, why single out Dockett,Boldin and Dansby. They are a major eason teh Cards made the Super Bowl.

I really hope I don't offend anyone here, I just get pissed when I see these sniveling little biatches cry about money, when most of us have friends and or family members losing their jobs and houses on a daily basis.

Boldin: imo has never dogged on the field EVER, but his antics piss me off nonetheless.

Dansby: Has he ever bitched or made a statement about his contract? The only thing that scares me about him is.. pulling a Houdini after he gets his fat payday (And thats based totally on a gut feeling, nothing else)

Dockett: He bugs me the most, He can play like a beast when motivated, but dude has WAY too many games where he completely dogged it for him to be bitching about a new contract 3 years early.

Because you responded to this: If you have some evidence that Dansby and Dockett didn't play well last season I'd like to see it.

I sure wish we had more guys who would "dog" it to 3 sacks in the Super Bowl.

A guy who has 13 regular season sacks in the last 2 years playing as a DE in a 3-4. That's more than either Keisal or Smith in Pitt. Spears or Canty in Dallas and Seymour or Warren in NE.

As for the Leonard Little reference note than in several posts on other threads I have included "and don't run afoul of the law" as a qualifier in regards to off the field behavior. Just didn't do it in this one.

The whole point is that a guy doing something people don't like off the field doesn't necessarily make him a poor player on the field.

i don't egt Dockett either. What does he have to gain by going public with a trade demand. This one, i put it all on DD and not Rosenhuas. Dockett saw Haynesworth sign a 100mill contract and his eyes lit up thinking he should get something like that. He won't and this last contract will likely be the last one he signs with Arizona.

to which you responded with only Dansby's stats, because Dockets were god-awful.

I guess I am alone in this, but I have always worn jerseys like that. Football, Basketball, Lacrosse, didn't matter. Whether in be in warm-ups prior to games or just wearing jerseys to school or on the street I normally just put it over my neck.

Maybe it's an East Coast thing? Maybe it's just a Md thing? Dockett went to HS about 20 minutes from my house and maybe Q just wants to be like him?

End result----This more than any other thread on the site right now shows how crazy this board gets in the offseason. Carry on.

Its definitely a sign pf protest. Oh and Q was doing this last year long before Dockett. So it would be vice versa.

Well I was talking about both of them. Dockett's stats are harder to use either way because of what he is being asked to do in the hybrid 3-4. His sack total the last two years and his play in the Super Bowl show he is no slouch as an nfl defensive end.

Of course the entire thing was irrelevant because I asked for evidence that they didn't play well last season. Not evidence that they didn't have a bad game all year. Heck the Cards played 20 games last season. Everybody had some that weren't that great.

Warner threw 3 INTs and had a fumble or two against the Jets and was 6-18-30 yards against the Patriots. Fitz only had 3 catches for 31 yards in the opener against the 49ers. I love DRC and he was torched by the Steelers in the SuperBowl.

BTW: I can understand that people are upset about the way these guys are acting. But smart aleck responses to posts are not the way to handle it. Anybody can type in jerk. I've had some really good, heated debates with Cardsfanmd over Cardinal football. But we responded with our takes and with our reasons for the basis of our opinion. Great stuff.

On the other hand we had Kerouc9 who was very knowledgeable about football but couldn't resist typing in jerk and got permabanned. "Where should I send the tape" is exactly the kind of thing K9 would have added to one of his posts.

Not that your wise guy remarks bother me, just trying to keep the conversation civil.

That's a pretty open ended question, I...as well as others posted several games where they (mostly Dockett) had crap games.

That is all.
No offense intended at all.

I understand. However I was talking about the entire season. We could use the 4 games listed to diss every single player on the team. Coaches as well.

But those games were an anomaly and not indicative of the body of work of the NFC Champions. For instance what # was closer to their post season defense against the run? The average allowed against Philly, NE and Minnesota or the yards per game allowed the remainder of the season?

The playoff results prove this out.

The point is for me though that both guys pulled the same stuff last season about their contracts and it didn't hurt the team at all and that the two of them put together the best defensive performance ever in a big game for Arizona. As such we should man up and leave them alone.

Oh, I don't care about crying about contracts and the like as long as they play well. That's fine. I'm not going to man up and leave them alone when they're waving a giant FU at the fans at an OTA.

I am as big a fan of these guys as it gets and it is now time to get rid of both of these guys because anything Drew Rosenhaus touches becomes a disease.

When I used to wear jerseys I would do wear them the same way, but I can see where the other guys are coming from.

Ahh We build them up only to tear them down.

Lets break this down simple like.

Dockett and Q are very good players on the cusp of being great players with a couple more good years. They want to get paid while their primary asset (their body) can still put out more PB level seasons. Saying we would be a better team by them not being on the squad is just silly.

They are doing whatever it takes to get a new contract. You know why? So they can start the clock on the NEXT contract before their production drys up. That is the nature of the NFL. Get as much money as fast as possible before the business side of the game is up against you.

My advice to all fans just follow players and thier impact on your favorite team on the field and in the locker room. Nothing more nothing less. Otherwise you'll go crazy. If you don't put them on a pedestal for any reason other their actual production on the field then its less likely this kind of stuff will shock and dismay you.

It's alot easier to sit on a MB and pretend like we wouldn't be trying to cash out at every opportunity possible because its easy to say how we want others to act when we have never been in the position.

Get over it and get excited for the football portion of the team.

Soap Operas are for house wives.
