all the good TE's were flying off the boards, glad we cashed in before the next tier. Got a good young TE for many years.

Arians made a commitment to involve Ellington more and adding this TE that can block coupled with the signing of JV and the return of JC, this should be a huge boost to Andre. Plus he's another good character guy. Like this pick a lot.
Hope you are correct

Niklas played OLB and DE before playing TE. We're covered at three positions. :D

Apparently Keim and Arians are working very closely which is a good sign. I don't love drafting in-line blockers at TE high and I'm not sure he ever becomes a top TE in the league, but he fits the division and makes sense vs the strong defensive lines in our division.

LOVE the Pick. LOVE IT.

A 2nd rounder for a blocking TE?

I love it. Can do it all.

It sounds like he can block but won't do much else. 3rd in receptions on Notre Dame? Not what I would call a downfield threat.

Yeah, I kind of scratch my head at us taking a blocking TE in the 2nd round. I'm not hating the pick because I don't know enough yet, but I am scratching my head here.

Not just a blocking TE, he can catch the ball.

Know your division and what you need to do to compete in it.

Niklas is Bruce Matthews nephew....Good bloodlines....Great blocker and good underneath target.

I like this pick.

Niners..... They can have em. lol

Only one of em holds the ball during the game. The others are watching from the bench.

Mayock said he runs good short and intermediate routes, but not fast enough to run deep routes. Looks like he has pretty good hands in the highlights.
