I'm really happy for Seattle. Ray Allen is getting old and Rashard Lewis is a marginal star.

I swear to god Phoenix, memphis, boston, and Milwaukee should all join forces, take up arms, and take off sterns freaking head.

I can understand one team that was supposed to be in the lottery get massively unlucky and miss it, BUT ALL FREAKING THREE? JESUS CHRIST!!

Wow. Hawks have No. 3 and No. 11 picks. With JJ and Josh Smith, they could get good in a hurry. That No. 3 pick is a killer for them, though. Lots of what they already got and not much of what they need. Maybe they'll take Julian Wright and Roy Hibbert. That would be great.

The pick would've been a great help to improve the team next year...Oh well... we'll have to rely on FA's....

Wow, so disappointing. Maybe there is something to the Suns are cursed. There goes our offseason. We really really needed a low pick to make a major trade. I just don't see it now. Unless the Suns get really really creative I expect minor changes with minor results.

The West is going to be even more stacked now. I really doubt the Hawks will be one of the bottom 4 teams next year.

Yep, prepare for a 40 win season

I just had a bad feeling about it. Things arent going the Susn way right now.
What do you thinnk we do now. Could Atlanta's pick be traded since they will hopefully still be bad. If they do i hope they protect it

I feel no pain for Boston. They deserved it with how they played.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Suns sell their picks for cash and trot out the new and improved Amare Stoudemire as their draft pick this year.

Doubt it. Unlike the past few drafts this one is actually deep. They can still get pretty good players at 21 and 29.

The main reason they got rid of the picks the past few years was a lack of talent available, not for money saving purposes (although that didn't hurt either)

my thoughts

1.) atl pick next year will be 5-10 (at least BEFORE the lottery)

2.) so now that seattle is getting durant what about a sign and trade with the sonics
i havent looked what works but something like rashard/rids for marion/?

3.) im betting the suns package the two picks and move up ....my hope rudy fernandez.

We get Atlanta's pick no matter what next year. If it's the #1..it goes to the Suns. The Suns next GREAT PG

Yes, completely unprotected.

So in a sense you traded a chance to get say Yi or maybe Brandan Wright for a chance at getting someone from a group of Mayo, Gordon, Beasley, Rose etc IF Atlanta winds up top 5 again next year?

Sucks to not get the pick right now but you may actually get a better player next year. Of course I'm assuming that Conley would have been the 3rd pick, if not he would have been the ideal pick for Phoenix at 4 IMHO.

I hate the lottery, always have. Teams still tank, just pick in the order of w/l record. The lottery is just a tv show.

Anyone but the Celtics for the top pick. LOL. 16 banners is enough.

A fully healthy Atlanta can and probably will make the playoffs. Remember, its the eastern conference people! They will be ALOT better next season and push for a playoff position.

THE EASTERN CONFERENCE SUCKS! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

ok, i'm totally ignorant as to how the draft is chosen. can anyone let me know? how random is it?

It's supposed to fall pretty much in order of how it would if the league were sane, like the NFL, but it doesn't.
