So Beasley will catch a flight this week to Mexico, where he will sign a two-year contract to play for Puebla F.C. of the Primera Division.

“I'm looking for different opportunities, and Mexico is definitely one that I am interested in,” he said.

Jozy Altidore to Holland...

Jozy Altidore’s professional soccer career has taken him to several destinations so far. Now, the young US national team striker will be adding yet another league to his resume, having agreed to join Dutch club AZ Alkmaar, sources with knowledge of the move told FOX Soccer on Thursday evening.

Altidore is expected to announce the move on Friday.

According to sources familiar with the move, Altidore has agreed to join AZ for the upcoming season, though it was not revealed whether the move was a permanent transfer away from Villarreal or another loan.

I think it is a good move for him.

Charles N'zogbia going to Villa by the looks of it after putting a 10million. Would have loved him at Sunderland like. Newcastle admitted yesterday they couldn't afford him and looks like we have even put a bid in! Aargh!

I'm stressing that we can't get a second striker, and losing out on Taylor really stinks, but I'm glad we didn't take N'zogbia. He would have been hugely expensive, we've already packed our midfield, and he was a bad influence in the locker room the last time he was here.

LONDON -- U.S. defender Jonathan Spector has joined Birmingham City on a two-year contract.

The 25-year-old Spector was released by West Ham at the end of last season and will join Birmingham on a free transfer.

Surprised this guy doesn't play more with the NT. He's shown some good flashes.

I think it is more a problem of where he fits, will be interesting to see what the new coaches see as his role. Supposedly he was one of the 6 players that JK contacted almost right after he was hired, that is a good sign for him. I doubt he will get called in for the Mexico friendly since he will be trying to establish himself with a new club.

Surprised they went before other polished players such as Marco Fabian, Cubo Torres, and bronze ball winner, Jorge Enriquez.

Still a fantastic summer for Mexican youth players.

MADRID -- Diego Forlan is joining Inter Milan after Atletico Madrid agreed to sell the Uruguay striker to the Serie A club.
Forlan, who will fill the vacant striker spot left after Samuel Eto'o's departure for Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, announced his departure from Atletico at a news conference Monday at the club's Vicente Calderon stadium.

"It's not everyday you get the chance to play for Inter Milan at 32. Let's hope I can meet expectations," Forlan said. "It's a great club with great players fighting for major trophies. I hope to adapt quickly."

Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Forlan will not be allowed to take part in Champions League play for Inter unless it reaches the knockout stages since he already featured for Atletico in Europa League qualifying this summer.

Where does he go? LW?

with Villa, Pedro, Tello, & Alexis playing time will be tight with Messi in the middle.

They need to work on that back line instead of moving midfielders back there all the time.

Tello becomes instantly expendable with Neymar coming in. Who knows, Pedro or Villa could be moved at some point as well. I like Villa, but won't be broken up if he goes. Pedro, though, is one of my favorites.

Cuenca will figure in the mix as well as soon as he's back from injury.
