No f'n way. He looks good and I like him. But if he were playing against NFL #1 D's game planning him and throwing complex coverages etc... At him I'm fairly certain he would look rather mediocre!

Seen many a Cards QB's look damn good against a bunch of 3s during vanilla pre season. In the end whilt it was nice to see it don't mean a great deal.

If he gets his chance due to injury cool. But no way is he ready to start!

I'm not saying that he doesn't have more talent than Preston Parsons but just remember how good Parsons looked in preseason.

Preston Parson's at no point ever flashed anything like this kid.

It's his overall game that is impressive, he's very good at getting out of a jam, and he has a lot of great touch on the ball. Great downfield vision etc.

Parsons just picked apart scrubs because his WR's were very open.

Everyone watching him realizes it's just scrubs he's playing against, I'm not looking at that, he was nearly sacked and should have been and instead he made a great play.

Had great touch on many plays, passes look good, it's the complete thing that is impressive.

BTW he's not throwing to Fitz, Breaston and ED either, although his blocking might be better on average.

All in all it's more fair that it looks but it's still not real NFL action, that's true but given what I've seen I'd be interested in seeing him with the number ones.

He simply looked great, dumped it off under pressure, led a couple floaters, zipped a few, & even went heads up on a scramble. If DA doesn't cut da mustard, the crowd will go philly on him!

I still question the kid's arm strength.

Absolutely. He reminds me of a kid who has to shoot a 3 pointer by flinging the ball back behind his shoulder to throw it far enough.

God No. This is not the 2003 cardinals. This is a division champ 2 years removed form the SB. Far too much talent to throw the year away to a rook.

Valid assumption, however, we may be doing the same thing with DA:shrug:

Max Hall is exciting. Larger version of Flutie. Chad Pennington with wheels.

I agree with everything you say save one thing, when was the last time you saw a Cards rookie QB look that good in the preseason?

Matt didn't look that good, no way McCown did, or Palko or Skelton this year or on and on.

I agree he hasn't played against starters and he's not as good as he's looked, but I don't we can say we've seen many a QB look that good in the preseason because I don't think we have seen a rookie look that good.

I actually thought last night was his worst game, first pass into triple coverage could have been picked, 2 of his bigger pass plays were a throw behind Onrea Jones(great catch) and an underthrown skinny post that cost Komar a TD. But he still throws such a catchable ball and sees the field so well it's hard not to like him.

Hopefully that was vanilla pre season tackling we saw last night from our D.

BTW: There is a Westwood High School just a few miles from my house. And yes they are the Warriors. Used to be in our district for sports until we dropped from 5A to 4A.

Asked he could be the No. 2 quarterback if asked, Hall replied: "Absolutely I could be the backup if they want me to be. Even though I'm a rookie, I feel comfortable...I feel like I can move the offense."

Start him.

People must have seen the sequence last night where Chris Miller was talking to Hall on the bench after he came out of the game? Miller looked like he'd just won the lottery or something he couldn't stop smiling and you could easily hear him say "3 drives, 3 scores". I couldn't make out the last part but I think he said that should do it or something like that.

It sure looks to me like the coaches like Hall quite a bit, the more I think about it the more I think Hall's emergence has a lot to do with Leinart's situation, the Cards are suddenly thinking we may not have to keep a veteran backup?

Did you hear about the prank they pulled on Hall?

Jody Jackson had Max Hall on for a sideline interview after he came out. Right after he finished he was called over to the phone bank and talked with the guys upstairs. They started ripping into Hall and told him he should not be doing Sideline interviews during the game and should be celebrating with his team.

They went on to tell Hall that he was looking at a $1000 fine and that he should go talk with Chirs Miller ASAP! Hall said he was freaking out because he barely has $20 in his bank account. When he got to Miller and Miller saw the fear in his eyes Miller just died laughing. Hall quickly realized he had been duped and was very relieved that he didn't owe the $1000.

Classic!

I saw the interview and saw him on the phone but I didn't know about that prank. That's great.

Also I would say another sign Max has the team made, you don't do that to a guy you're cutting on Saturday?
