But won't it break the players seasons if they are holdouts?

No, but it breaks one of his commitments...

It was supposed to be a joke. You can't rip up a contract.

Graves says he is "excited" about the make up of the team this year...mentions the "winning attitude" of Emmitt Smith, Jeff Blake, et. al.

Says "this is not a bad at team at all"

Plus given these picks were filling huge holes in the team so it can break the team's season if these guys cannot be productive due to contract stuff.

He said he wants to get it done, and didn't rule it out. But, there is also no reason to be very optimistic beyond that.

Rod expectations for this year:

very excited

additions have come from winning programs and are leaders

good attitude

we "are not a bad team at all"

great O-Line

talented WR's - better as a group than last year.

Should have a great rushing game

Respects/is happy with Jerry Sulivan, and Tyke Tolbert

Well, it makes me feel better that he wants to get it done. Thanks for the telling bit of info, Rod.

No thanks. I prefer the status quo on this team. It's not a bad team so I take heart in that.

Wow. I'm impressed. There's 7 pages to this thread, and no sign of Howdy Doody. Where are you?

"Graves states "it won't break our season" if the two first rounders are not in camp tomorrow. "

C'mon guys, why is everyone getting so worked up about a comment like this?

What do you expect him to say? Oh yeah, we want them signed so bad we'll roll over to any demand their agents may make?
Gimma a feakin' break.

Contrary to what some spew...Graves is not totally stupid.
Nor are the Cards mgmt. in general.
Right now, media-wise, everything is just posturing for the real action at the negotiating table.

Maybe if we have actually won something in the last 50 years we would not be ready to rip apart everything these guys say. Untill the Cardinals Organization does some winning then the fans have the right to tear into them like dogs on meat!

The have created such a bad reputation around the league, and media they should sign guys for what ever they want.
