That is the best picture, Kate, of Mitch I have ever seen! :)

Hope you're able to inject some life into the Movie-A-Day!

From Gillian Anderson's official website:

Regarding the XF2 movie mention in the Sunday Times interview, Gillian would like you all to keep in mind that it was not a direct quote and that Chris Carter is not in charge of the contracts. In any event, filming wouldn't start until at least after the end of summer 2006.

You know, I saw in this magazine for HD technology this week on an airplane, that they have a 3-box set of the X-Files Mythology episodes only...which I thought was kind of cool.

Yup, they've got I think three sets out now, with one more to follow (I think).

I do know that they are re-releasing the season sets and making them cheaper (around 40 dollars.... what the other season dvd's run for) and less bulky in January. It's about damn time!

So I'm in the living room, and I left my TV on in my room.

About 20 minutes ago, I heard the X-Files theme song. And just now, I heard a loud sound clip from it. And within 3 seconds I knew exactly what episode and what season it was from.

I am not sure if I should be proud of that feat, or slightly afraid.

i think the worst ever episode of the x-files (pre season 8 and 9) was space, teso dos bichos, and travellers.

god those episodes sucked.

I can't believe I've been a member of this board for several months now and this is the first time I've discovered this thread. I'm a huge X-phile.

Anyway, I think the worst episode was FPS (First person shooter) from season 7. Season 7 was the worst season, in my opinion, and FPS was just one of the reasons why. Something about that episode just wreaked of second-rate production.

Feel free to jump in anytime, this board needs more X-Philes!

I agree about FPS - the only thing good about that episode was Mulder's cod-piece and Scully shooting that big gun. ;)

I gotta say one of the best episodes ever was Beyond the Sea. I thought Brad Dourif was excellent as Luther Boggs. To me, this was the episode that took the X-Files from just another tv show and turned it into a 60 minute theatre experience every Friday (And then Sunday) night.

I actually put all of my seasons 1-9 on eBay about a month ago, praying that a boxset a la Buffy comes out.

I'm still slowly trying to get through Season 8. Not a lot of happy episodes that season.

The first season definitely has it's clunkers but it also has some very solid episodes:

1. Ice
2. Squeeze
3. The Erlenmeyer Flask
4. The Pilot
5. Fallen Angel
6. Beyond the Sea
7. EBE
8. Darkness Falls

Those are my favorites in Season 1.

Ugh, Jon, I have an itchin to go watch these episodes now!!

Ugh I know.
Doggett has grown on me over the years, but Season 8.. and particularly 9 still just leave a bad taste in my mouth.
