X-Files casts Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose as new agents

The X-Files has added two big names to play agents in Fox’s upcoming reboot.

Actors Robbie Amell (The Flash) and Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under) will appear in the new incarnation of the sci-fi hit as agents Miller and Einstein, respectively.

But before you think Fox is pulling a Doggett and Reyes all over again, there’s also this: They’re only signed to appear in one episode as guest stars.

The X-Files returns Sunday, Jan. 24 for six episodes and includes the original core cast, including David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

Not that I've seen. There's another development that needs to be explained as well, so we'll see what happens (I won't reveal what that is since it's mildly spoilerish even though the information is out there already).

I just hope this is not some lame reset so to speak to keep the franchise going. I just want good storytelling you know?

I don't know. I'm not even watching trailers anymore--I almost didn't watch that Kimmel parody I posted above.

That said, I am more excited for this show than I've ever been for any other.
