This is all “coach speak.” If Kyler Murray comes back this season and doesn’t play very well, he‘s gone. If he doesn’t play at all this season, he’s gone. Everyone should take what the staff says about Murray right now with a grain of salt

Is the bolded based on anything other than your deep knowledge of NFL player personnel management?

Also, this is like the one thread that is supposed be free of negativity about K1. Do you mind Timm?

Only difference is that’s not what Keim said and that’s what caused all the speculation and doubt. Keim specifically said that he’s our quarterback, right now. Today, all of the Cards quotes are in lockstep. With Josh, they weren’t.

The “End of the Colt McCoy Era” thread, which was created only 8 days ago has 15 pages of comments. The same number of pages as this thread that was started over 5 months ago.

Just sayin’
That doesn't say much of anything really.

I don't believe this is correct at all. Him not playing during a tank is a feature not a bug.

His head coaching career may center around Kyler.
While it may, here is an argument(s) why it won't.
1. He doesn't get on the field this year and it is then Monti's decision.
2. Comes back and plays well and we keep him.
3. Comes back and struggles and we move on from him.
In all cases I don't see JG's career being affected that much.

Agree 100%. I'm probably the biggest Murray supporter on this board. And that's mainly because, outside of size, he possesses the freaky skills to succeed with both his arm & his legs. That being said, he has to prove to MOJG that he can stay healthy. I believe the knee injury was an unfortunate injury, because no one protects himself with his athletic ability to slide than K1 does. But, nonetheless it still happened. And I do believe that JG knows exactly how great Murray can be in Petzing's offense. But, it will come down to whether Murray stays relatively healthy. And I also expect that JG & Petzing will do a MUCH better job of putting Murray in a position to succeed than KK did.

I'm not sure why people aren't believing what they are being told.

This isn't coach speak. This isn't some guys just saying "He's number #1 when he's back" or some other cryptic coach speak.

Every time they talk about him they gush. "He's awesome. We love him. He's been fantastic. We can't wait to get him back" kind of stuff.

It's obviously very genuine every time they say it.
