I would trade all the 2010 wins that cost the Cards a chance to draft him.

But seriously, is he going to tank his 2011 season with Stanford so he can be selected by a better team? Otherwise, if he DOES play his arse off again, he's going to be picked by an equally bad team--maybe worse. At least Carolina has a couple of stud running backs.

Yeah, I don't think his motivation of whether to stay or declare has anything to do with Carolina. He knows he's going to go to a bad team in the NFL. Even if he threatens to not play for them, the only teams with both the power to move up, and the need for a QB, suck anyways.

Carolina isn't that terrible a team to play for anyway. It's not like Jacksonville with no fans, or Cleveland/Cincy with horrible ownership.

I'd give 3 first rounders.... seriously.

First of all Carolina would never trade the pick....not when you have as close to a positive sure fire QBOF available...IF they would entertain it would go for at least 3 first round picks. Howdya' like to be the guy who pulls the trigger on that deal and then try to put butts in the empty seats???

Schefter said today that the minimum compensation to Carolina would be 3 1st round picks and that is if they are willing to trade it.. which he doubts.

Great minds think alike...that's what I just said too!! Not too tough to figure out....cutler for 2 no. 1's plus orton...as good as cutler is the upside on luck may be greater.

I wouldn't have a problem with 3 first round picks. Why? Because you have to figure that the 3rd 1st round pick will be in the lower 1/3 of the draft by the year its due because he will have you in the playoffs in year 2 and year 3 at the very least so the compensation really won't be that out of whack when making the comparison to other trades.

Spend your first round money on free agents. Yeah, do it. Besides it would be their 1st for ours this year and the next two. I'd do more even.

But I really like Newton too.

It sounds insane, but I'd consider it. Of course you'd have to spend more in free agency to fill holes, but if Luck is as good as everyone thinks he'll be, he's definitely worth it. About half or less of first round picks turn out to be impact players anyway.

He is. Has there ever been a time an organization has already decided on their upcoming pick not only before the combine, workouts etc, but before the season is even over and the player even declared? Not only that, but do it publically....

Many many weaknesses on a team can be overlooked if you have a true stud 1a QB.

This is a QB driven league. That is just a fact.

You couldn't be more correct..that's what (they think) sells tickets, yet there is certainly a shortage and always has been of real top guns on the bridge.

I think we (collectively) are somewhat delusional and are wetting our pants....maybe we would all be better off thinking he is the second coming of ryan leif..............NOT.

Yup. The only success the Cardinals have EVER had has been when they were exceptional at qb.

If we were lucky enough to make the necessary moves to get Luck & he stunk, I would seriously just give up on the Cards forever...but I know he will be great unless injuries ruin the kid.

YOu don't get a franchise caliber qb without taking risk. There is always the chance he could bomb--always.

Cardinals just lucked out with Warner. No one thought he had much left.

You are dreaming. There is no way the Cardinals will go for Luck. Among other things, they would not be willing to pay the compensation his agent would demand. Look for the Cardinals to trade down so they can avoid a big salary.

3 #1's would be solid for me.

Draft Luck.
Sign Carl Nicks-G
Sign Ryan Kalil-C
Draft Moffit-G
Sign Kevin Boss-TE

Pray for a miracle at tackle.
