I'm with you. If we let Harrison go in favor of Ulis, I'd be ticked off. Canaan I don't know after that injury he had but if he fully recovered I'd want him over Ulis. Both of them defend much better than Tyler and Harrison could develop into quite a good two way PG.
I suppose we have to let Igor make up his own mind about Knight but I hope he doesn't waste much time on him. As far as Payton goes, I don't think Igor will get to evaluate him in person if we don't re-sign him, and I think it would be a losing cause to do that.

There is no harm in bringing Ulis, Harrison, and Canaan into training camp. Let them fight for a job. I could see 1 making the roster and another securing a Two-Way contract while the third is out of a job, for now. I don't think it's quite clear at this time who is the best of the trio, they all bring something different to the table though. Canaan has played SG in the NBA and Harrison has the size to play SG also. That will give them an edge but Ulis is probably the best pure PG of the 3. He struggled last year but he did start to come around towards the end of the year. He didn't look as good as he did in his rookie season but he did have offseason surgery which surely effected his game. Relationships shouldn't play a role in who stays and who goes. We'll see what happens.

JJ would still go top 5 and maybe even 3 or 4. He was legitimately one of the 4-5 best rookies in the league the 2nd half of last season and with his two way potential he still has a higher ceiling than most of the other rookies from last season.

We knew going into the draft that Tatum is more polished. Jackson was drafted based on potential and as stated we saw some of that realized in the second half if the season.

Slow and earthbound, but he also looks adequately strong. His best play is the drive-and-dish starting at 0:24. I think it's a real question what position he's going to play. If he stays at PG, he could be like a bigger Andre Miller. I don't see the dynamism that he'd need to be a good wing.

When I watch the video below, Doncic moves very much like him. Doncic, if he develops as some expect, could even be better as he sees the court so well and he is great facilitator. Of course only time will tell.

Yes. Neither player were super athletes. They sort of glide on the court and use their intelligence and skill to be effective.

Doncic could be better than both as he has great court vision and passing skills.
