I'm a hard no on Ulis. I'd rather have Shaq Harrison or even Canaan running backup to backup (assuming Knight starts or is backing up a draft pick).

I think the suns will take Ayton because they don't want to have to deceide anything. Doncic's stock has dropped a little to make me think almost any player could be taken #2. I mean they are even throwing Porter's name around now for #2? Probably clickbait but still... it's murkier than ever who the second pick will be.
Good enough reason to take Ayton...it's an easy copout choice for McD....no? Otherwise, he'd have to do his homework!
JJ would still go top 5 and maybe even 3 or 4. He was legitimately one of the 4-5 best rookies in the league the 2nd half of last season and with his two way potential he still has a higher ceiling than most of the other rookies from last season.The pick will be Ayton, I have no doubt at all. The NBA is an entertainment business and Booker + Ayton offer control of two stars and fan excitement. This is the safest pick it isn't Bender who as a #4 pick shoots less than 38% and rebounds like a girl, this also isn't a flawed #4 Josh Jackson who would be drafted 7th at best if there was a do over, nor is it a EuroLen another soft stiff, a 45mg handful of basketball ambien say I. RMD blew all his Euro loads and missed on Yanis - Ayton is the pick, nothing will change it, even RMD's love of Euro guys.
Hopefully RMD will be gone before he can mess up Booker's extension. Foamy said 2020, that is his deadline.

Nice. Who's the girl?Found this interview with Book. He talks about Ayton around the 9:03 mark.

He looks really slow.
@Folster
When you said Doncic "looks really slow" he reminds me again of Chriss Mullin. Mullin wasn't particularly fast but he could go anywhere he wanted on the basketball court and make it look easy.
When I watch the video below, Doncic moves very much like him. Doncic, if he develops as some expect, could even be better as he sees the court so well and he is great facilitator. Of course only time will tell.
Here is what I mean. Mullin looked slow as well.

I could see that. I can't help but see flashes of Hedo at times though.
yes, Mullin was similarly slow, smart, effective. Doncic has more moves and passing skills, however.
Chriss Mullin version 2.0.
I'll drink to that.
