This is one of those games that Clancy P. would have a game plan that would completely shut down Young & Johnson. It's why some considered him an up and coming DC with HC potential.

I'm glad Davis is our DC and expect he will come up with a good game plan.

Hope McFadden can play this week because i doubt our pass rush will be very good this week. They need to stay in their lanes to keep Young from scrambling. Blitzes will allow Johnson to catch screens and release routes and he will kill us with to many defenders on the wrong side of the LOS. Safeties will need to cheat towards the LOS but not to close or Johnson will be by them in a flash. Gap integrity is vital. Setting the edge is vital.

As many have stated make VY pass to beat us and we should win.

The thing that concerns me is that Tennessee tries to utilize their TEs probably more than any team in the NFL and passes to the TE have just killed our defense.

Yea - I remember that game against Vick & the falcons. If I remember correctly, we shut their offense down and held them to 3 FG's.....unfortunately, we only could score 6 pts (or 3?)

That is what Young does to a defense. He makes them play 11 on 11. Defenses do not have to assign a player to cover Warner so they can play 11 on 10. But the Cards are so good they win anyway.

He never would have struggled as much if the Titans would have just let him run more. Who cares if he gets hurt? If you don't let him run he's going to be on the bench anyway.

I don't think you would even have to have KD spy on Young all the time; last night on third-downs, you could almost bet Vince was going drop back to pass and then take off.
