Like I've said before, it's a water cooler show. People like watching it because it's the 'it' show to like, not because of quality.
I guess. I have no interest in watching Empire but it was the show everyone was talking about for a while.

To each his own. I watched 2 seasons of raising hope and totally lost interest, no idea what it did after.

I watched the middle consistently for 3 seasons and now am bored of it but will watch if it happens to be on.

I dunno, was just thinking out loud.
I see what you are saying, but I think both your examples here are probably way off base because both those shows were episodic in nature, and Walking Dead is most definitely not. Easy to get bored by a show when there is really no incentive to keep watching week after week.

or I just got bored with the characters, the stories and the show in general so I stopped watching.

then again, I really only watch three shows so maybe everyone else just consumes far more TV than I and part of that means watching shows they dont like anymore

I guess keep watching for those who dont like it though, it just helps make sure that I get more and more seasons due to inflated ratings because all these people who dont like the show still watch it.

Oh, I freely admit I hate watch this show now. Did the same thing with Dexter after that show fell off a cliff post-Trinity killer. I use this place to bitch about it, no doubt but to also try and understand why anyone is actually enjoying it.

Oh I get it, i broke up with this show for like 3 seasons at one point but I've really not hated this season at all it's been interesting and I've enjoyed them slowly bringing pieces together. I'd have hoped that they would have tied up this arc this season, but I guess there is still hope for that.

Not great but not nearly as bad as you guys say IMHO. Tho you guys never fail to make me laugh. I see a lot of the stuff ur saying, it just doesn't bother me. Like the Dwight Daryl thing, I'm like baffled why it matters who it was? Like for me I thought; hmmm maybe it was Dwight, or coulda been Daryl, oh well tune in next week and see. LoL, I don't get why it's like a big deal. Not just here, a few of my FB friends were in an argument about it and I like never gave it a second thoughtz

I can't stand Game of Thrones, so I just don't watch it, I guess I just don't get the hate watch thing.... :) I hope my original post you quoted above didn't sound too defensive because I was just playing. I don't really think you are a dork, just Stout :p

What I found/find interesting is that a few pages back in this thread people were trying to get a beat on how much time has passed (in total), and we see Judith considerably older now--but then Maggie isn't even SHOWING yet. It's ridiculous. Apparently the time from Glenn being killed to now is MUCH less than it seems, and Judith is just suffering from that disease where you grow old too fast.

Oh, I'm a total dork.

Anyone who posts on this message board is... and anyone who can't admit to that, is an even bigger dork.

It's funny because Tara and Rosita cant stop being preggers in real life, and they're constantly covering that up but Maggie is the only one who's actually supposed to be on the show and they dont even make her look slightly bigger lol.

Like when they were doing the ultrasound? I totally said out loud dang Maggie still has those 8minute abs and she's gotta be a few months along atleast! lol

Hey, I haven't watched for years. I just follow the comments because I'm interested to watch the show spiral to even greater lows in quality. The writing was horrific when I quit, and from the sound of it, has gotten a whole lot worse. I kept watching way back when because the mid-season finales were usually so great they pulled me back in. Then that debacle episode in the hospital happened, and I was out.

It's really hard to quit a show like this mid-stream because it's NOT episodic. There's always that hope in the back of your mind that they'll improve. And usually every season there is that one episode that gets your hopes up. Last year was the massive zombie fight episode that was one of the best of the series--but that one episode just hasn't happened this season yet. There have been some ok episodes, but a majority of them are borefests. Doesn't make me quit the show--it's not like I'm starting from episode one and have 100 episodes to watch.

Lost is one of my favorite shows all-time, but even I was having problems watching the show during the first 6 or 7 episodes of season 3 when they were in the animal cages. Nothing progressed. Luckily, that season rapidly because great after those eps and had probably the best season finale of the series (the Looking Glass).

Doesn't look like we'll get that with Walking Dead, but I'm invested and don't have a problem sticking it out.

Fun fact, that horse is named Glenn...

This was the best I could do to demonstrate the season premier.

I would never allow anyone to hurt Glenn, the horse lover that I am. :)
