I just assumed FTWD would have to leap forward or something to meet Morgan after the Negan plot - it didn't occur to me that they would meet in the interim of TWD timelines. I don't see how he could cross a walker-infested continent and back. I mean, FTWD is in Baka now. I guess Proctor John mentioned going to Houston, and maybe that plays out somehow. But still, VA to Houston is still far...
The new trailer shows him taking about his family but also practicing with his staff and at the same time talking about doing what you have to do to survive. Being that he had his staff, it seems it would be after his "clear" stage but before finding Rick in Virginia... Which really makes no sense especially considering fear should be years behind that still.

What the heck is with all the cheesy close up face montages this season... I am really looking forward to a new show runner next season.

Man I hate watching one episode at a time. So much plot setup just went on I need to know what's next.

I feel like this show has almost devolved into a campy radio show from the 50s. We just need the cheesy radio voice during the outro.

"Is this the end for Negan? Will Rick and the gang finally triumph? Tune in next week kids".

It's amazing how impervious he is to AR-15s.

Yeah, Rick and everyone else can go 10 for 10 on head shots on moving walkers, but once they start shooting at a live person with some plot significance, they can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Everyone watching the last episode knew that Negan was going to get away. As I was watching it, I was thinking that it was a waste of time because we know neither will die this episode. Negan might as well have a force field around him because his plot armor is so thick. He even got his damn baseball bat back before he teleported out the window and into the trash lady's car.

Interesting that within 5 seconds she was able to knock him out, put him in her car and drive away

Or also that Dwight and my favorite savior yet I don't know his name didn't hear all the gunfire when rick was chasing down Negan.

my favorite moment was Negan dodging left out of the way of the axe... only to then somehow fall right and down... and right over the edge of the stairs.

oh... and the missing beat where the cars got into a massive accident. I can only guess they either didn't have the budget to shoot that or they tried to do it on the cheap and it just looked atrocious.

Let's see..... they can cover themselves with blood and guts with no trouble, but dried blood on a bullet or knife blade can infect you. Riiiiiiiigggggggttttttt!!!!

Not to mention that an 8 year old kid can get ahold of an M-16 and the key to the prison pen undetected and the flimsy ass pen is unguarded at night. I dare say that the kid doesn't even know what the charging bolt is on an M-16 much less have the strength to operate it.

I am a huge fan, but this was just an awful episode. The whole "blood soaked stuff will infect you" story line sucks the big one.

I also want to know why only Virgil was able to be saved by cutting of a limb and nobody else. This series has become so lazy it is frustrating.

why would the kill even go into the pen? Pretty sure that gun can shoot through barbed wire... and air.

I know right. These writers are getting lazy. In the past they would have had a bullet ricochet off of a Savior's gold tooth and hit the lock causing it to open or something stupid like that.

Carol must feel cursed that she is always surrounded by idiotic or totally insane kids.

My favorite is how whenever Rick is surrounded by dozens of Walkers they never come close to biting him. However a walker or two in the Hilltop and all hell breaks loose.

I’m trying to make it through this season in hopes that a new showrunner will offer some sort of improvement on next season. But if next season doesn’t turn around quickly then I think I am out.

I enjoyed it but I just like the show. Clearly Dwight didnt soak his arrow like the others. The fact that the group of saviors didnt get mowed down when the lights kicked on was a bit of a cop out but I suppose it was only to keep dwight and simon alive.

I wonder what is coming with Morgan, he is clearly losing it.

You would think the pen was always guarded or they would have escaped long ago. At least we now know the one savior is truly loyal, not just faking it.

I wonder if Negan will take out simon when he learns of all of this. Things are getting hairy, its going to be a good finale of this war. I just wish the whole season dropped at once, I hate when the damn episodes end.

Since he disobeyed a direct order, he's facing at least the iron and probably execution - especially after abandoning Negan when Rick crashed into him. He doesn't yet know whether Negan is still alive or that he knows about Jadis's group, but his game has to now involve eliminating Negan or consolidating power in his absence. It's an interesting wrinkle.

It does seem silly that people can smear themselves with zombie gore and not get infected, but I guess we just have to take it as a blood-borne illness (the fever, not the turning) and assume they were lucky.

I didn't even think about Simon possibly going after NEgan, that would make for good stuff. I love simon, he is a great actor and twisted as hell. The show will miss him.

My only assumption with this attack, Negan had a bucket of blood with him so all the other saviours must have as well so that the blood was fresh upon the attack.

The preacher losing his vision and etc, I was assuming had something to do with covering himself in blood and maybe it got in his eye. I don't know. I always disliked the "we can just cover ourselves in blood" part and in reality, if it was that easy, I would just bathe in zombie blood 24/7.
