Well, I can guarantee you one thing...they can't drag this out any slower...it's the finale, so they actually have to *do* something :D

Maybe the final episode will slowly progress toward an eventual cliffhanger with nothing much really happening until the final 10 minutes or so...

It could happen.

liked the finale. was interesting that they didn't go so much for the big cliffhanger ending, but more of an emotional one. I thought it was done very well.

Yeah after a really slow painful season the last two episodes were really good and now we have to wait till October to see another one.

Little Carl ain't so little Carl anymore. Called his Pops a big wuss and is making plans. No more "stay inside Carl".

Did anyone else find a similarity in the "look" and garb of Maggie and Glenn to the driver of the zombie van that crashed into the prison yard during the Governor's first visit a few episodes back?

I disliked the style of ending solely for the fact, that they expected me to get emotional over a character I was wishing death on for an entire season.

Didnt work.

And Im sorry, I just for the life of me cant believe (I know I know, belief in a zombie show) that after the governor did what he did, that his top 2 LT's would just continue on at his side.

I love the show, cant wait for it every week. Thought the finale was a bit of a disappointment.

I agree with everything you wrote. I wanted Andrea dead for awhile, could care less about her character and wasn't the least bit sad she was offed--the death of Merle was much more of an impact just because of what it did to Daryl.

Judging by the trailer, it looks like they're going to do some major character building with Tyrese, who should have been there from the start. I'm looking forward to this season.

I swear to Christ, if that stupid Governor is the one doing it all (and he's on the poster), I'm out. They bungled the story lines so bad last season with him, and keeping him alive just made for an easy villain for lazy writers forever and forever.

I agree the Governor is by far my least favorite aspect of the entire series to the point of ruining the show. I do not like that character at all or the guy playing him and his whole Liam Neeson routine.

I was all right with the character, but...well, I guess I had better do it this way:

Going into the finale, I wanted one thing: stop dragging this fracking story line out and actually resolve something. I did NOT want it going the lazy writer route, where they kind of resolve something, but then leave enough left for a stupid recurring storyline the next season. So what do we get? A cool scene where he flips out and turns the guns on his own people, which is kind of resolving the story line, because he's no longer in charge...but now we have the crazy dude running around for what looks like the entire second season, which is just stale, predictable and BORING.

I'm always on the verge of quitting this show, because they make some really, really boneheaded writing gaffes. This may be enough to finally drive me away.

I don't know. The Governor ended up being a character I love to hate. I don't mind him popping up now and again. I don't want him to be the main focal point for another entire season but if he terrorizes the gang now and again I am game.

And that's what it looks like. He's on the frickin' poster. If he's anything more than a token annoyance, I'm out.

They cast a major character for the post prison story arc, so I am assuming that by midseason the prison will be breached and the Governor will be done.

I don't know. I just think the Governor was a stupid character which is why I hated him. I'm glad his town is pretty much gone and I can't wait for his storyline to end.
