caught up!

I was not sad to see Andrea bite it.

I was strangely sad to see Lori bite it.

Maggie is still hot.

Darryl is still the best character. Rick is still a flippin' idiot. And he should have simply shook Tyrese's hand.

They need to get out of the prison. That same setting is getting boring now. Move the f*** on, leave the governor and his people there and Rick and the rest of the alive ones from the original crew need to keep moving on.

OK, I'm all for suspension of disbelief but I don't buy for a second that when the stuff hits the fan, a market complete with liquor store would be completely untouched.

I thought they did a good job of explaining why.

WTF pig

WTF harry potter looking guy

WTF airborne virus?

WTF "it's just a head" crazy lady

Nice open. I think this season is going to be fast to the chase, compared to last year.

Eh, it was okay. Nothing special, yet nothing to poke too much fun at. I don't like them changing mythos on the fly. I absolutely hate what I already know is coming, which might chase me from the show for good.

The stupid Governor is still going to play a major role, in sabotage, this season. They beat that story line to death and when they finally ended it, it was good closure. He flipped out, killed his own people, and faded off into the sunset. Unfortunately, they're bringing him back, which may finally kill the show for me.

They we keeping a high level version of the comic going. He has to die in the prison when the prison is lost for good. Based on what I have read, that will be the midseason ending. Then we will meet the new characters and the casting is spot on with Michael Cudlitz as Abraham!

At that point Morgan should be back for good, which is great news. I for one love the twist from the comic and can't wait to see the Governor get it when the pison is lost.

How does a helicopter crash onto the roof and not fall through, but zombies can just fall right through? That was a little ridiculous to me.

Yeah, I didn't get the introduction of new characters only to kill them off. Of course it's safe to say that we're going to see Zach and the dirty Irish lady again as zombies but the pig dying and the Harry Potter kid dying mysteriously is interesting and obviously there is a new disease to contend with.

Daryll licking his fingers before shaking Harry Potter Phineas' hand should be noted as well, even if just misdirection.

hey, I know what we're going to do today, we're becoming zombies!

showrunner said the crash has been there a while, weakened the roof, and it was already leaking. Those areas were all weak, then they broke, and when they all broke, the whole structure lost integrity.

That's not ridiculous, but it is a bit off that they were never walking over there before. I guess they "herded" over there together to the weak area, but still.

Yeah I had a hard time with that. Seemed kind of bogus to me.

a little ridiculous? that whole setpiece was the dumbest thing I've ever seen on the show.

the rest of the episode was decent though.

A fully stocked liquor store and a recovering alcoholic meet in the strangest places.

Love the episode last night. Here are my thoughts on what is going.

The medic guy who has only been there for a few weeks is working for the Governor. It makes too much sense, so I am most likley wrong, but they made a point to say he was a Army Medic and they found him on his own. He could have gotten the others sick and is inside so he coudl be feeding the Walkers the rats. He will come clean after get saved a bunch of times. That is how I think it will go down.

I hated the opening sequence of this last episode, but loved how the rest of it went.

I mean, come on. One walker, moaning like he was, wonders into an absolutely packed cell block, chows down, creates another walker, and no one has a clue. It takes forever to create a second walker, yet suddenly those two make thirty at the drop of a dime. Hmm, lazy writing to get to the point they want to get to much?

I loved Rick's sequences where he destroyed the pigpen and then sacrificed the pigs to the walkers--after taking up arms again. So symbolic, setting down the plowshare and taking up the sword. Sacrificing peace to the need for violence. Just as brilliant as the opening was stupid.

Totally agree!!!

yeah this is getting pretty silly. A little bite on the neck and you are instantly worthless. I guess you just lie there and take it like a man. LOL

Loved the Rick sequences as well. So much for being a farmer!

These first two shows have really been hit or miss.

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around Carol's development. She went from the meek poster-child for victim mentality, to Wayne Lapierre's fantasy of arming the children during school.

The whole bite to the neck is somewhat worthless. The walker dived right into his throat making screaming impossible. but him laying there helpless was a bit of a stretch.

The pig thing is symbolic in two things. he realizes that being the peaceful farmer does nothing but put his people into danger. and also, i think he came to the conclusion that the pigs are the cause of the disease that can overtake his people. getting rid of them is the first part in clearing the epidemic.

that being said the first half of season 2 was more than a little bit weak...so i have faith.

I believe I am tiring of this whole series. The morality stuff is getting way heavy.
