They haven't been but there's nothing wrong with putting elements of the comics into the TV show? If there is then what's the point of the show if you're going to completely ignore the storyline that inspired the show? Just create a completely different show and call it something else.

Yeah, but I doubt the comic book fans would put up too much of a protest if the writers made him take off the ridiculous hat. Some things don't translate well from comics to TV.

So what? Who cares? Carl is one of the fringe characters now, so why do you care? It's a show about the zombie apocalypse and people are whining because the kid wears a hat?

yup. The writers did a great job of creating Daryl and making Carol an apparently much different character than she was in the comic. They're easily the two most interesting people in the show.

at this point, they're pretty much the only interesting people in the show for me. Rick? Eh. Maggie and Glen... snooooooooze. Carl... can he die already or at least loose his hat? Michione... blegh.

hell, at this point Maggie's sister is the 3rd most interesting character in the show and she's so memorably I can't even remember her damn name.

LOL Ease up, Chap. I couldn't care less about it, mainly because he is a fringie. I was just clarifying someone else's point. Stop whining about whining ;)

So Norman Reedus let out that the end of the mid-season finale is going to be monumental.

He said he went and sat on an apple crate and just cried and cried for over an hour to make sure he had no more tears when they filmed the ending. Some major character is going to die he said.

Guessing it's Carol. Maybe Carol turns and Daryl has to off her. Dunno.

Nor was his brother and other characters were adjusted here and there. That happens but some believe that the story should be changed completely. There's nothing wrong with leaving some of the aspects of the comics.

God, I hope it's Rick. That would be amazing.

Kill off the main protagonist? Not going to happen unless his contract is an issue. My guess it's Carol for Reedus to be so emotional about it.

Beth or Tyreese?

I think Carol becomes Andrea from the comic and shacks up with Rick. Also, Tyreese was dead by now in the comic and him coming on the trip instead of staying behind felt forced. Of course Tyreese does not fit the emotional part of it.

i don't expect it to happen... but I think it would reinvigorate the show. Rick is so freaking dull. I don't believe most of the audience comes to the show to watch him.

I don't think it's the character that is the problem one bit. It's the writing. Seriously, they gave Rick some awesome stuff in previous seasons. Now he is just another character who happens to be the leader.

Killing him off won't solve the problems with the show. Rick should be the heart and soul of the show and I think the writers forgot that.

Looks like it might be Tyreese. He just landed a new gig on the Sci-fi channel.

I broke the record for eye rolls, 'oh, come on!'s, 'get on with it's, and yawns. About ten minutes of worthy content there with one cool moment. Mid-season finale? Nah. Series finale. Done and done. The writers have lost the show, and I have zero faith they'll find their way.

Can I ask you something without you getting all offended? If you hate this show so much, why do you watch it? I'm curious.

Wondering the same thing. It's kinda getting old Stout.

He's a glutton for punishment guys. He will see movies he is convinced will be bad, Then complains and wants us to pat him on the back when he's proven right. Must be a sports fan.

The premise of the hospital was weak but I thought the death was powerful.

I have to give credit because I thought it was going to be a lesser loved character.

Because the show and the characters have so much promise. Because for short stretches, this show can be absolutely brilliant. I thought they'd fixed their errors during the first few eps of the season, which were pretty good. I keep wanting it to be something it's not--a consistently good show, with compelling episodes week after week. This episode was the last straw, though. I'm taking it off my DVR, just like I got rid of Castle--and I used to frickin' love Castle.

See above.

Yes. The exchange/death scene was pretty cool. Rick running the guy down and telling him, "You should have just stopped" was fun as well. Everything else? Uh, writers, you're supposed to make the viewers WANT to come back after the break. Shoddy workmanship there, guys and gals.

I don't know if anyone here realized it, but they had another post-credits scene featuring one of our favorite characters... I didn't know until this morning.

Well, hopefully they introduce Nagan in the 2nd half because if you want a storyline that has massive potential, this is it.

I saw it but the problem I'm having with it is what's the point of it so far.
