again... another issue with the writing/plot here. the above certainly could be, but considering we missed how Carol let her guard down, why and how/if the relationship meant anything to her, nothing that came of it seemed motivated in any way shape or form.

+1. There was no development of that transition at all. Takes multiple seasons to get her to a certain point then...boom...slap in the face?!!??

Is the "We're all Negan" line that the Saviours were feeding Rick's gang in the comics as well? Does it just mean that everything belongs to him? Negan's monologue was very individual: e.g. "you work for me." And the leader who's crew Darryl blew up with the RPG said that all their belongings "now belonged to Negan."

Just strikes me that there's disconnect there. His opening monologue was so haughty that I can't imagine him instructing his minions to pretend to be him, individually or collectively. Just wondering if that's a thread the show dropped.

I took it to be that they are all representatives/an extension of Negan

with Carol...it seams to me,...the big switch came when she let herself get a boyfriend. She started to feel again,....then meeting that savior chick,...she recognized what she herself had become,...because she was far worse than the savior chick when it came to body count....... she had to face herself and she did not like what she saw.... at some point she will have to reconcile that her moral standards are based upon a world that is dead....or she will die.

For me it was when Sam died. Granted, that and her getting that guy happened all around the same time.

She was not. But she was clearly feeling guilty for threatening a kid, then said kid dies. I thought there was some reference to that family, but I could be wrong.

when did they show her feeling guilty for threatening the kid and him then dying? That seemed like a thread they certainly could have pulled as part of her meltdown... but didn't. although to be honest, threatening the kid... and then the kid screwing up anyway doesn't really seem like something that would be on her head. he didn't die because of her. he died because he was an idiot. not sure 1 + 1 = 2 in that situation anyway, at least not for me... if they even attempted to make that link.

I agree that his death had nothing to do with the threat, other than making him more terrified than he already was at the time. I just thought that was her turning point in the timeline. But what you're saying makes perfect sense.

I thought it was pretty clear that Morgan had gotten under Carol's skin and she had a slow burn after the Wolf incident, getting progressively more bothered by her own ninja skills. I don't have any issue with how they brought her to the current mental framework.

I do not feel they did the same with Morgan...his character would have shot to injure, not to kill, and definitely not unloaded 6 rounds.

I kinda figured he did that to make a point with carol....even he, who has lived as passively as he can...must kill at times..... the one guy carol was trying to convince that you have to kill....killed to save her....

I have feeling these writers are going to stretch out the reveal of who got dead until the mid series finale next season. My guess: they essentially replay the last two minutes of this year, fade out and spend 6 weeks of Negan and--possibly-- Dwight back stories. If they do that...I'm out.

That would be so egregious, and such utter crap TV, I think almost everyone would quit watching.

Then again, BRR just admitted to be willing to watch solid gold crap thrown in front of the lens for hours on end, so...LOL

except you are assuming everyone has the same taste as you. I dont see FTWD as solid crap. I see reality TV as solid crap and it is the biggest genre in TV right now and millions upon millions keep up with it consistantly.

I highly doubt they would lose massive viewership over that.

if they don't show who dies in the first six episodes, I think you're dead wrong about a major drop in viewership. The reviews/reactions to that finale were overwhelmingly negative. If the writers kept pushing the revelation further down the road, they will definitely start to lose chunks of their audience.

This is about the time anyway that many shows jump the shark. It's not as if this shows is new. It doesn't take much to turn off fans at this point.

There's no chance in hell this doesn't get spoiled before the new season. They have to know that. It's one of the main reasons I think it's dumb to not reveal who died and letting it linger until the next season. By then it won't have the impact it would have as a season finale.

Everybody involved with the making of the show knows who died. I read that they filmed the entire scene with the killing and all the characters reactions etc.

All the reviews and reactions every week have always been a bunch of negative moaning and groaning for TWD in my experience. It is rare that I google an episode and see positive comments from different reviewers and etc. Color me not surprised that it was the same for this episode, I was thoroughly entertained through the whole thing. Just watched it again Saturday night with my daughter, she loved it all too.

BRR I am with you on the episode being a good one. I thought that JDM's monologue was epic and probably my most favorite scene in a long time (minus now knowing who got killed). It's annoying but not enough to PMO.

Where we differ is that if they string it along halfway through the season, I am going to be PO like never before at the show. That's a little different verses the minor bitching and complaining about things I don't like from episode to episode.

I highly doubt they wait until midseason but at the same time if we spent a few episodes showing Negan, how his camp operates and maybe how he became who he is, I am more interested in that than who died.

You are crazy my friend. I bet if you polled TWD fans right now.....hey...do you want to know how Negan runs things or do you want to know who died?

You will get a landslide vote.

I was just speaking about me, I'm sure the majority is more interested in who died. Ive been hearing about Negan for years and knew someone was going to die so I'm more interested in learning about him at this point.

(And no chickenhead I dont need comic book spoilers im reading the comic too =P)
