And another thing - the fact that there are zombies still walking around is really scientifically impossible. They would have rotted to bone by now, especially in a humid area like Georgia :)

I don't know. I have heard that eating brains and intestines provides some high quality nutrition to a growing body.

LOL - except no digestion is occurring, which is what would be needed. No blood is circulating, so muscles would not be getting any energy to move.

This season has been tremendously disappointing . Slow, glacially slow, with nothing going on. And half the shots are so dark you might as well be listening to a radio show.

I am sorry, but I don't see the brilliance that some are claiming to see in these dull, boring episodes. We are smart enough to understand that the show is not about zombies - the fanboys have only mentioned it 3,000,000 times - any time someone critiques the show that is the first response. there was little character development in the episode. Nothing that wasn't expected (until the end). I expect people that have gone through what they have gone through to be defeated, tired, etc. I am smart enough to understand that without being hit over the head with it.

I know it won't help your enjoyment of the content of the show, but you may want to adjust your contrast and brightness a little. You would also want to make sure the ambient light in the room is down for best enjoyment of the darker scenes. I went plasma for the specific reason of superior black level performance once calibrated.

It's the only show that does that - and normally we watch it in the dark ;)

Will play around with it next week, if needed

A quick and dirty option:

Record something like late night talk show where someone is wearing a black jacket over a white shirt. Pause when they are filling the screen.

For contrast- Start all the way down until the shirt is white but not spilling or blooming into the dark jacket.

For brightness- Look at the coat, start all the way down and move up until you see nice detail in the coat like lapels, creases, etc. without getting gray.

Once there, a little tweak here and there may help, but that should get you in the ballpark.

Is it just me, or did anyone else think the new character was just a bit too squeaky clean? It seemed like he just took a shower and put on some clothes he just bought at the local Sears.

And where did he get that water?

Guess we'll find out next week.

That is an astute observation, so stay tuned!! I am excited about this next phase of the show.

I believe he's from Alexandria and is not to be trusted.

Great episode IMO. It's been a while since we had a non-action packed episode that carried any emotional weight. I am the first to call out stupid filler episodes that do nothing other than save budget for future episodes.

Also, dude was too clean cut and didn't seem very scared. Which means he is used to confronting strangers with guns and has a place cutoff not to far from where they are at.

Stranger danger is correct.

That's because there's a bunch of people who hate the show because it's not a weekly Wold War Z type show and complain about it. The simple thing to do is not to watch it. Again, I'm not trying to be a dick but to hear people constantly complain about the show but who still watch it is just plain silly. If it's not your cup of tea then so be it. It doesn't make you wrong and those who like it right. I know people who love House of Cards. I tried to watch it, found it incredibly mundane and stopped watching it but I don't begrudge anyone who does like it.

Peaked at the Prison battle? I don't consider that the peak at all. I mean many of us felt they spent way to much time at the prison and on that storyline period. Having one action packed episode hardly makes up for all that time. So, I wouldn't consider that the peak at all. I would say the opposite, it was a low point for the series despite that episode. They should have cut the time down in half during that stretch IMO and that would have been plenty.

There were some good episodes during that stretch for sure but too much filler which has become a signature of the show too often. Still a great series IMO.

Low point for me was the farm. Once I learned the story behind why there was such a change in tone in the series with the second season I became more and more a spectator with this show as each season wore on.

This is one of the few shows I can watch with my wife, who avoids horror-themed TV/movies like the plague.

At least it's still better than anything Shonda Rhimes has in the air.

I have never seen WWZ.

I really enjoyed the first few seasons - a good mix of action/movement/furthering the story along with character development. When you have invested so much time in a show that used to be much better, you have the right to complain - it is not the same show as it started out to be. The producers have gotten full of them selves and self-indulgent.
There is still great potential, and I have hope still. Plus, my OCD compels me to finish the series :D

Wait until they have the Star Trek themed episode. That was an amazing story arc in the comic.

Please tell me your kidding. LOL.

I have never read the comics but I have seen comics do some really bizarre and out there stuff so it wouldn't surprise me either.

Loved this episode. Rick so afraid to trust and everyone else wanting nothing more than to trust. Pretty interesting dynamic.

Rick is just straight up brutal right now. I love it. Was not a big fan of insane Rick back when Lori died. However, crazy Rick? I love it. He is just walking on that edge of going nuclear. Love it.

I really enjoyed this episode. The tension between Rick and Michone (sp?) was palpable and I really enjoyed the almost throwaway line from Carol at the end.

In a way I found that Michonne's character development was a little abrupt. I suppose if anyone knows you "can be out here too long," it's her. But she's never been one to make these kinds of arguments before--and normally was as suspicious as Rick is now. There's nothing wrong with it, but the support for it IIRC was mostly that she just kept saying it over the past couple of episodes. Am I forgetting something?

Two good cliffhangers the last two weeks. Aaron's appearance reminded me a lot of Henry Gale (and I'm not alone in that). Since they are now in Alexandria I'm guessing that we are about to encounter the Saviors that people have mentioned from the source material. Though of course the show has already teased that with the crosses on the hospital's cars... Either way I'm sure something bad is behind those walls.
