They called it "Oceanside" in the accompanying Inside TWD segment, though I don't remember if it was used in the actual episode. The fact that is has a real name might indicate further plot involvement.

It does seem plausible that Tara would break that promise, if only to send an emissary for help. There's also the chance that someone like Cindie reports back on what is happening and Oceanside has a change in heart about fighting the Saviors. We'll see.

If they fled with only the clothes on their backs, I do wonder where they got all those guns...

yeah the guns were interesting, I would think Negan took all of their guns as he was slaughtering their camp.

There are over 300 million guns in this country, so I doubt the Saviors have them all.... ;)

I forgot those two had left together, that black guy appeared long ago and seemed like a capable character for moving forward but has had so little written for him I don't even know his name. He must be alive still, loose ends there too.

I thought I saw him as one of the zombies that Tara met on her mad dash across the bridge. Weren't those his smashed eyeglasses on the tarmac?

The person she thought was him was actually a black woman zombie in a dress. Once it turned around and had breasts, she realized it was not him and hopped over the final wall of the bridge. After the final wall of the bridge his glasses were smashed on the floor, the RV was gone and there were tire tracks. Either he drove off or someone found him and took him and the RV.

You guys want to hear something funny? My littlest one got up in the middle of the night while I was on vacation. She saw a quick glimpse of the episode I was watching (walking zombies) before I could pause it.

She said.."Daddy, I don't like those. I like the dancing zombies better" (referring to MJ Thriller video). :lmao:

True, though the women had an awful lot of assault rifles, and Tara and Heath weren't able to find any guns or ammo (or anything else) whole prowling for two weeks in the vicinity. I'm not arguing your point - just still wondering if there's something else going on.

Could be.... or it could just be a plot device (Negan's got all the guns) for the run up to "the big Negan finale." Guess we will see soon enough....

Finally I can look at this thread. I lost interest in this show after season 5. I cant even really explain why I just lost interest.

So recently I decided to watch season 6 and I'm so glad I did.

Man I quit at the worst time ever because season 6 and 7 have been freakin awesome in my opinion!

I know people were pissed about the Negan cliffhanger, and I might have been too if I would have had to wait but I thought that whole scene was just amazing.

The season finale of season 6 and the premier of season 7 might have been the most compelling 2 hours of television I've ever seen. My palms were just sweating as Negan walked around taunting everyone.

I thought the Glenn thing was a good twist because they knew that tons of people already were aware that he died there in the comics, so it was a moment where you thought he was safe and then bam!

Negan is amazing. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is just killing it. (hehe see what I did there?)

Anyways, a sleeper episode here or there aside I think the show has been really good again.

The saviors are awesome villains because it's not enough to rob, kill and terrorize these people... They constantly play mind games and make comments. Just like Neegans 'thank you' analogy for Rick. He just cant help himself. Shows that it's not just about surviving, these are genuinely evil people.

Anyways, I've been much less critical of every detail of the show this time around. It's not perfect, but it's still damn entertaining!

I like how they are setting the table for the revolution right now. I think all the players are pretty much present. I dont know who else there is to find, but now it's just a matter of banding together, getting armed and coming up with a plan. I hope they stay on this arc for a while tho!

I think a lot of the complaints come simply from watching week by week, when you get to binge it, you have more appreciation for slower episodes that are building plot and character as you get to watch the payoff much quicker.

I thought season 6 was fantastic as well and so far so good this season. It has been quite slow for a few episodes but you know what they are doing and IMO they are doing a good job of it.

I saw the trailer for next weeks episode and:
Apparently carl actually goes in to negans compound. wtf? you would think he would spy it and leave but instead he shows up right there inside of the place. curious to see what the deal is. I assume Jesus will not do the same.

Karl made it pretty clear his intentions are to end Negan... boy might mess around and lose that other eye

in the trailer it shows him taking off his eye patch to show negan and it appears negan was showing him around the base, showing him the crowds of people and etc.

Even with the intent to kill him, not a great idea to just show up and say hi, I would wait outside and ambush him or something.

If it follows the comic story arc, which it appears to be doing, then this will set up a story line going into the at least next season.

Dude, Carl, WTF...

lol AND Michone and Rosita, Jesus, Spencer, Sasha... Listen, I know you all had a rough week, but everyone needs to take a deep breath and just settle the hell down! lol

Suspenseful episode. The slow burn of Negan just basking in the glow of torturing Carl...

That whole last scene with Negan holding Judith was almost unbearable for me, way to go Carl you freaking moron. If Negan takes Judith, which I think he's going to; there goes any assassination attempts! Nobody is going to try anything if he has Judith. Carl just royally screwed the group that was already royally screwed.

Also, aside from being pure evil, Negan is hilarious.

Maybe it's because I'm watching this right after Westworld, but these last couple of episodes are just...goofy. The juxtaposition of storytelling between the two shows is like putting the Globetrotters against the Generals' B team.

So now we're going to have our semi-annual break with what I'm sure will be a huge cliffhanger that they could have included this half if they weren't so interested in dragging out the plot lines that could have been told in 1/3 of the time. :bang:

C'mon, TWD, you're better than this.

At this point TWD has turned into Dexter for me. Loved it at first, but at this point I'm just watching to see the story through.

It's so over-the-top-cheesy that I almost can't handle it anymore.

The suspense is killing me. The note for Daryl? My feeling at all times that Dwight is going to snap? Every person thinking they can go rogue when I was expecting all of the groups to become one big unit? What the hell is happening at the kingdom? What happens real soon with the move into the suburbs comments?

I think all of this is going to pay off and has been very entertaining. There is so much going on right now.

so next week is the midseason finale, what a bummer as things are really heating up right now, this next episode should be intense.

I was assuming Negan and carl went to alexandra so Negan could kill someone to make a point to Carl. Now he is acting like he wants to take the place? the comment at the end maybe I should kill you both, of course that doesnt happen and I feel it is way too soon to kill negan although I wonder if Rosita shows up along with rick might be armed when he returns from that place he found.

Will Daryl really leave the cell? Or does he think that note was just a ploy to mess with him? Who left the note? Dwights wife? Jesus? Dwight?

When Michonne shows up at Negans compound and he is not there? Do they capture her?

I assume a few questions will get answered and the rest will have to wait.

People, including carl on talking dead, alluded to carl being impressed by Negan and maybe buying into his society a little bit. I would assume that not to be the case but we will see.

And I imagine that the son of Donna or whatever her name was is going to become a savior ASAP.

They did a good job, I am very excited for next week.

My daughter looks at me and asks why everyone always has to let the bad guy talk, carl could have easily smoked Negan from the box truck. I forgot about Sasha.

JDM was on Stern last week and said he would be back next season. It isn't likely he'll be killed Sunday.

They are definitely setting things up for after the mid-season break.

I mean, the possible weapons cache, Dwight building bullets, the Amazon group of women.

Also, holding Judith? I think he takes both Carl and Judith. He basically takes Judith as a warning and takes Carl under his wing to "teach him". That will push Rick over the edge.

If it plays out like the comic, he may be around for a few seasons.
