Did a little quick addition. Quan has played 5 games, in those 5 he has 28 catches for 280 yards and zero TD's, probably should have had 2-3 if he'd gotten better throws.

Since Quan came back Fitz has 15 for 207 with 2TD's, had 26 and 2 before Quan came back in 6 games.

Johnson has 9 catches for 70 yards since Boldin came back, had 23 in the first 6 games before Quan.

The impact is obvious, since Quan came back he's getting the bulk of the catches, he has more catches than Fitz and BJ combined in the 5 games he's played.

Seemed to me the most effective offensive set yesterday in the whole game was when we took BJ out, went 2 TE's one RB, which started in the drive where King threw the pick to Vilma to end the drive.

With the all the talk about opening it up and going downfield, I am convinced that for now the best thing for this offense is the 2 TE set, use BJ in passing sets only.

I think we started doing it the drive before, but it really seemed to click on that drive.

I agree, lot of money in the WR's, but right now I think we're better in the 2 TE set.

My rationale, we run better so teams have to respect it, and if we throw out of it, we can keep a TE in to pass block and then release.

Nobody wants to see this offense opened up more than I do but right now I think we're a better 2wr team than a 3wr team.

I don't think that BJ has the speed that Denny thought he had. I can really see us drafting a so called wideout burner perhaps with the 3rd or 4th round.
BJ could be history but I really don't know anything about his contract and signing bonus?

BJ isn't bad...he just isn't anything special. If we want to trade him for financial reasons and bring in a burner I'm sure we can get something for him. Not much but there are a few teams that need WR's enough to give up a late pick or maybe someone buried on their depth chart.

Maybe KC gives up Larry Johnson who doesn't get any playing time. The jaguars need depth, especially if Jimmy Smith retires soon. I've been hearing the Saints are dissapointed with Stallworth. Obviously we won't get a 1st rounder back for BJ but there are teams who he would actually be an upgrade for.

Absolutely because right now we have to run timing routes and baiscally a west coast dink and dunk to get down the field. It has to be high % passes because we can't get chunks.

With two TE you can keep them more honest by releasing one or the other and keep them guessing on the shorter coverages and open that up over the middle a bit.

A three WR set requires one to be fast to clear out the other medium routes and no one can do that.

I think the most effective set used yesterday was when the Cards went 3-wide and ran out of it. That was the main set used when they drove down to kick the FG before halftime. It appeared to me that when the Cards went to the 2-TE set the Jets stuck 8 men in the box and stopped the run

Johnson is not a factor in the games at all. This guy is supposed to be the vertical speed we need. I think we need a guy that isnt so much straight line fast, as to one being quick into and out of routes. We had a guy with pure speed, and Gilmore was a joke. Why do guys like Az Hakim, and Chrebet get open so often. They are able to lose guys with quickness and change of direction. We need to find a WR that can break some ankles with thier moves.

I like our three top wideouts, but one thing we are missing is a blazer who can scare people.

draft Reggie Bush in rd 2 in 2006 and convert him to WR. A star is born, the
next Roy Green.
