There *should* be a brawl tonight

After being so gutless last night the team has a chance to redeem themselves tonight. However they are in a stupid situation and should have taken care of business last night.

They have a rookie pitcher on the hill making his first start, so they can't exactly ask him to throw the first pitch at somebody. Therefore they will likely have to go after somebody in the later innings.

Rauch had the right idea last night but then when Owings came back and hit Roberts somebody on the Reds should have paid.

Again, gutless not to retaliate for Roberts who was taken out of the game.

There is zero leadership on this team right now. I can't believe that a player leaves the game from an intentional ball thrown at him and nobody says a thing about it.

The only thing I can think of is Raush's pitch was intended to hit Phillips, but missed, twice. Then the Owings HBP was the retaliation, which then the D-backs would feel the score is even.

I know it's a reach, but that is the only reason I could come up with as to why they didn't retaliate.

The reason Rauch was trying to hit Phillips was because of how he showed up Haren on his homerun. So I think there is still a score to settle

This team is horrible.. And if Byrnes is running things from his office thru the manager, were screwed..

I dont think Rauch was trying to hit Phillips. I think Phillips decided to be a whiny little bi*** and overreact about a ball 6 inches inside, then do it again after he swung at the pitch. After Roberts got hurt, every ball should have been at Phillips' head until he was on the DL. I never say that a team should try to hurt someone, but Phillips reaction ended up in one of our guys having to leave the game so I'm all for it.

I agree, I was trying to come up with some other explaination. Why they didn't go after them I don't know. It's what this team needed. A little fire in the belly!
