In 35 years as a Cardinal fan, I've seen some pretty bad teams but this team is, bar none, the worst Cardinals team I've ever seen. Some say the 2003 team was bad but this version makes the 2003 team look like the '72 Dolphins. This team has no heart, no soul, no balls. A majority of the players suck, the coaching staff sucks, the entire organization is falling dangerously close to same ol' Cards status. How the hell we won 4 games is a complete mystery. Only a team this inept can make the 32 ranked offense look like a playoff contender. Christmas night, this team should come out and beg for the fans' forgiveness. Scratch that because 80% of the stadium is going to be filled with Dallas fans.

If Carolina goes on to get the #1 pick in the 2011 draft it will be the 4th season in the last 7 years they have lost to the worst team in the NFL.

We're back to Denny Greenland. 2004 lost twice to the 4and9ers, their only wins of the year. 2005 lost to the 2-14 Texans. 2006 lost to 2-14 Oakland.

I believe we fielded a pretty good team in the strike shortened 1482 season.

Or was that 1882? After a while all those bad seasons start to kind of blend together.

JTS
That 1482 team just got some bad breaks.A couple of bounces of the ball go our way and it's playoffs. If Head Coach Herc Torgensen would have just been allowed to bring in the QB of his choice, it could have been a SB winning team. Too bad GM Rod Graves nixed it.

I forget the years, but I have some fond memories of the team that gave the 1-15 Jets their only win of the year and also of the Cards team that gave the 2-14 9ers their only 2 wins of the year.

They had a great OT win over Washington that year(1996) and a big TD pass from Boomer Esiason to Marcus Dowdell vs Philly with 14 seconds left. That year, as soon as they would get momentum and give you hope they would lay an egg and show you what they really were.

That would be 1996. But this years team, I've never seen a team give such little effort and this comes down to coaching. If you have guys doing the "for who, for what" routine, you bench them and put players in who want to play. Losing isn't what pisses me off because stuff happens but just going through the motions like you can't wait for the season to end, that's what pisses me off. As bad as some of those mid 90's teams were, they actually went out there and fought week in and week out. This team is just horrible up and down, coaching staff included.

It is a sad year indeed but there seems this year they have a hook to draw you back - it's almost like a car wreck that you just gotta see but the team has a slight glimmer of hope.

I've seen a lot of bad football but I have to say this years team, wow, it's just like an alignment of the planets bad.

No heart, it's like getting an empty box for Xmas, just sucks the life out of you, especially as your family just laughs and laughs at you after you open it.

This IMO is far from the worst team in Cards history. You can make a case for 89,90,91 etc: Take out the 70's and 98 we have had much worse teams. Now we may not have had any worse QB'S!

I don't necessarily disagree but I'd throw 2002 (5-11), 2000 (3-13), and the 91 Tom Tupa Cards (4-12). In all three of those years, by the end, I was just happy the season was over. Same way I feel this year where I'll definitely be glad when this nightmare comes to an end and I don't have to ruin any more Sunday afternoons watching this garbage. And yeah, the obvious solution is just to stop watching, but I just can't.

This years junk is going to very likely finish 4-12 and have lost to the worst team in the NFL (the team having the #1 pick in the draft). They are going to finish at or near the bottom in several statistical catagories.

They are in the running for worst Arizona Cardinal team ever. Definitely the most disappointing team in recent memory. To have that kind of talent and be pasthetic is hard to take.

Not the worst, but the most disappointing. Well, maybe that and '99.

I definitely think this team is worse than those other Cardinals teams, because this year our division is at an all-time level of suck. Even playing in this terrible division, against these terrible teams, whom we get to play twice, we're still sitting at the bottom. To me, it's not even close.

I'd be willing to bet that I've seen more Cardinals football then both of you put together. I've even watched this team lose 12 consecutive games and will contend that those teams(77-78) were the '84 49ers compared to this version.

The 89/91 teams were different in that their starting QB was injured. Lomax had hip issues that ended his career and Rosenbach got hurt in pre-season of 1991 which put us in a QB carousel not unlike this season. Tupa was thrust into the starting job that year. Not handed it on a silver platter like DA. As for 1990, I'm confused as to why you bring this year up as bad. We had a rookie QB who IMO had he never gotten hurt would have had a decent Plummer-like career. But with a few exceptions, that team fought and clawed all season. They at least had heart. This version does not. We had a lot of promise going into 1991 until Rosenbach blew out his knee which damaged his psyche more than his body.

2000 team. They defiintely quit on Tobin. Then quit again on Mac. Our they just plain quit.
