I watched the premiere episode last night.

Very engaging episode, pulled me in.

Anyone else watch it?

And if you did, and want to discuss it, use spoilers for now

That twist at the end - completely blind-sided me. Great job on keeping it quiet

Wife watched it. We will probably watch it again together. We liked Parenthood, hopefully it is something similar to that?

I don't know. The previews seemed way, way too saccharine sweet.

I thought the same thing but watched it and it had a really solid balance. And the ending got me hooked in for episode 2.

Anybody watching this show? Airs on NBC at 9pm on Tuesday nights. I can't believe I'm actually watching TV and it's not sports or local news... Great show. Great writing and production. Terrific casting... :raccoon:

The wife is HOOKED. Her new favorite show. Have not watched it yet. To many other things backlogged on DVR and such.

When I was seeing all the advertising for this show I was telling my attendant it was going to be terrible and there was no way I was going to watch it. Then I saw some great reviews and decided to give it a shot. It's easily my favorite you show this year.

This show was still very good this season but just wasn't packing the emotional wallop for me the first season did... until those last couple moments tonight with the reveal.

That got me misty eyed.

The Jack and his dad bit really hits me hard. My dad skipped out on me and my two younger bros when I was 5... didn’t see him again until I was 21. He’s dying in a hospital in Missouri. Saw him a few weeks ago. Emotions all over the place... he’s dead broke and alone. I fight the anger and bitterness. My bros will do what we need to for him. But man - it ain’t easy.
Anyway, I love the entire show. They nail it every damn time!

Sorry about your Pops, 82. I consider myself beyond lucky to have grown up with the best man I've ever known as my father.

But it wasn't the Dad of it all that got me, but the other shoe that dropped during the final flash-wayyy-back/ looking at the old letters moment.

Oh yea... that too. My wife and I were guessing whether or not Jack’s brother may have been killed in Vietnam?

Looks like Kevin is about to take a real, vicodin dive. I'm wondering if Randall will rescue him, just as Kevin rescued Randall last season..... Sophie might just go bye-bye, too....

Me and the bride are just crazy about this show.....

OK, I never watched this show until the wife and I watched every episode in the last week. Whew, what a great show!!! Not sure what to say 82, but is seems like you turned out like Jack, in spite of the odds. And that doesn't happen by accident.
