The ticket brokers will still sell to them, so there will still be quite a few Seahawks fans who show up if we meet again in the NFC Championship Game.

Sure. But the implication was it would be super worse. In reality, it will be much less.

Preseason football in week 17 vs postseason football is a very different tale in people selling their tickets, and in who wants to buy tickets as well. There will be a lot of Cards fans purchasing tickets from ticket brokers, who don't do it in the regular season.

Yep. Just like when we beat the Packers in the '09 playoffs... Sure, there were a few Packer fans there. But NOTHING of any consequence. And if we meet up with the Hags later on in the NFC Championship Game, there will be Hags fans in the stadium, but NOTHING of any consequence!

if there's any amount of significant Seattle fans in a possible NFC Title game, I think at that point, everyone will have to admit that our fan base leaves a little to be desired. It wasn't the case with GB back in the day, hopefully that stays true this year if we get the chance.

As I have said time and time again... All of this hot air about opposing fans "taking over" UoP is a bunch of nonsense. It is so needlessly made an issue by people who, for reasons unclear to me, seem to want to detract from the Cards fanbase. I just don't get it...
I HOPE we meet up with the Hags again... and whatever the number of Hags fans in UoP that day won't matter one bit! They will be sent out with the asses duly handed to them!! ;)

so our players and coaches are full of nonsense when they talk about it? You make it seem like only people here are talking about it when the coaches and players that we all love bitch about it too.

The players and coaches rarely talk about it. In fact, I can only remember one time (the Vikes game this season), where they brought it up. Every other time they speak of the fans and the stadium, they PRAISE the fans for our noise and support!
And that Vikes game, while probably SLIGHTLY more than what we have seen in the past, was still at worst, 75%-25%...

The constant rehashing of this issue is total, 100% BUNK!

And regardless of the fact that the game ended up meaning nothing, I just can't stomach watching Pete Carrol on the sidelines, dancing and singing and mugging it up like he just won another Super Bowl... I hope somebody on the Cards shows video clips of Carrol's antics to our guys on a daily basis over the next two weeks... If that can't fire you up and get your mind right, nothing will!!!

I vote we sic Swearinger on him.

I really don't have much problem with a lot of the above... but the idea that the Seahawks prepared for this game like their life depended on it has been repeated over and over again without any mention of the fact that they rested a TON of players... both starting OT, Kam Chancellor, starting TE, and were down to their 3rd string RB. And do you think Pete went all out with his schemes/playcalling because I didn't see anything tricky or a multitude of blitzes on either side of the ball. I just saw another team that had nothing to play for kick the crap out of us and have fun doing it.

The Cardinals players have said this after the game and before the last game with the Seahawks, Seattle is not very complex. Pete is not some mad genius who schemes. Russell Wilson is an excellent scrambling QB which does not make the plays complex but unique in their happen chance. Seattle does not really need to scheme on defense and they really do not to the degree the Cards have to with our roster and we did not.... I agree the Seahawks wanted it more and in professional sports it does not take much for a game to get blown wide open when another team does not care as much or even game planned for a victory in my opinion

they were talking about it all week before the GB. Then, I guess Arians and the Players are just talking out of their asses... even though they're the guys on the field who it actually effects.

It was mentioned that a lot of the Seahawks wanted to play well to get rid of the stank of last year's Superbowl lose in this stadium, which I completely forgot about, plus to get rid of the stink of losing to the Rams last week (plus the Cards getting all the press since they lost and then the Panthers lost as well)...so they had an emotional reason to play, which Pete always uses to his advantage

One thing to note, and this is a positive about the guy as much as a negative... Pete would play to beat the crap out of a Pop Warner team in a meaningless game if it affords him to be an arrogant ass lol

The GB game was after the Vikes game. After the GB game, I didn't hear a peep from the coaches or players about this "issue"... Wonder why??

Just remember the Pats game the year we made the Super Bowl.

...or the Jets game the year we made the Super Bowl.

...or the Eagles game the year we made the Super Bowl.

...or the Vikings game the year we made the Super Bowl.

Because we killed them and their VERY large crowd had nothing to cheer about. Still doesn't mean they didn't exist or bother the team before the game.

I can understand why it happens 82 but it's by far the worst year to year EVEN when the team is great which is not normal 82.

Yes some years bad years in KC it got worse and you'd see more packers or mostly Steeler fans for that game then you normally would it might go from an average of 1k to 3 or 4k but just judging by the crowd noise 82 unless they are adding noise it sounds like the team is playing in the other teams stadium.

I have no idea on the numbers but I'd have to think over 10k opposing fans and that's just on the fan-base, no excuses.

AZ is a tourist destination, it's nice, it's a great stadium, brokers probably are the problem but it's embarrassing don't think it's not.

When during the week of preparation for the biggest home game of the season, the team has to divert ANY amount of practice time to practice a silent count, that sucks. That's literally your fanbase having a negative impact on the team.

Agreed, but you Cardinal fans rocked it back in '08 during their playoff run, I'd expect nothing less. Thanksgiving, Christmas -New Years is a heavy travel period and I would imagine a large part of this was due to people being away, families visiting from out of state and the great traveling fan base of the Packers.

'08 was amazing, no doubt. As was the '09 wild card game. Hope this year's crowd rises to the same level in both noise and amount of Cards fans in attendance.

Yes and spur of the moment airline tickets don't come cheap when you don't know where you are going until a week before.

So yes I would assume it's over for now and playoffs are different but it still sucks.

I would attempt to address some of this somehow if I was the team.

Guys. You are answering your own questions. Let's see. We failed in every facet of the game. Every. Is that a coincidence that a team who has won 19 of 22 with Palmer. Won 9 in a row against good competition. And then all of a sudden get lambasted? In every facet. Someone mention New England game. Players were like this is freezing snowing and this game doesn't determine squat in winning the division. Mail it in time. I'm not saying BA is the perfect genius but I really think he said let's go throw around The pigskin and run a little. If they whip us. Only hurts them. They have nothing to go on. Its brilliant really. But what are the odds we sucked in punt coverage. FGs and kickoffs. Defense. Pressure. Blitzing. Stopping the run. The pass. Couldn't run and couldn't pass. And yet everyone wants to believe Seattle ehonjust got waxed at home by the rams and Casey Fricken CASSUM. And it doesn't look a little shady? We played this game like excersize. I have been right a few times in my arguments. I also jump on the Cards when they lose dumb games. This is not one of them. BA doesn't like The bullseye. He wants to take the gun and kill the ones with it. He has always been that way. Remember 2nd seed gets you hats and shirts. This dude set up Seattle. And it will come back when we beat them. Look at Kiem now saying we want them again. Guys. The Cardinals are going to win the Super Bowl. And they are going to win Big :)

You don't see the relevance in a team holding out players because the game isn't that important to them? Wouldn't players who might have been able to play been in the game if it meant that much to them?
Holding players out because they were INJURED. No one is making the argument that this was a game that either team "needed" to win, but that there was one team that clearly "wanted" this game more than the other and that team was Seattle.
