I think

Stone is better than given credit. They played him out of position like Chavous. Once Chavous went back to his natural poition he excelled. Stone may have done the same thing if given the chance. jmo.
Anyway, everytime I've spoken with him, he's been respectful and a totally class act. I wish him all the best.
Good luck my man,
DVL

Stone definitely had good straightline speed, and we now are definitely in need of a gunner. I definitely hope we find one in the draft. :D

Stone never lived up to his expectations, but he was great on special teams. I'll miss him for that. Also, he was one of the guys trying to get the crowd fired up at the start of the game and evertime special teams took the field.

Interesting how we drafted Stone with the intention of him replacing Aeneas Williams and now they end up teammates with the Rams.

Stone was good for at least one block to the back or late hit in almost every game. He was fast but played out of control. I will not miss him and look forward to our gaining at least 30 additional penalty yards next year when we meet.

See ya later Stone! Your special teams ability is vastly overrated and your defense simply sucks. Have fun with Marmie rebuilding those awesome 2000-2003 Cardinal defensive and special teams units.

Sad part is i think he's actually doing it on purpose.....Can we go ahead and scratch the 2 Rams games off as wins next year?

I'm in the south endzone and enjoyed when Stone would come to our end to get us fans hyped up! I thought he was one of our faster guys on special teams and always commanded double coverage. At the last game, I asked him when the refs were going to start calling the other teams for holding him, etc. He smiled and agreed.

Best of luck Mike!

Well, he was right, they will be calling holding on other teams now. They'll be calling them on the Rams. :)

can I ask a question here really quick. Apparently with GREAT Special Teams play by both Stone AND Hayes - can someone tell me why our special teams sucked so badly last year?

He only posts negativity...so far it's been hard to come up with anything negative other than the usual spew of Dennis Green is a power monger/egomaniac.

That is pretty interesting. Another brilliant front office move.

I liked him for special teams, but why did it take him 4 years to become a good special teams player? That's pretty sad.
