"Honestly no. That’s just because I’ve been there and witnessed the relationship between both Matt and Coach Whisenhunt. So I’m actually not surprised. I don’t really want to speak too much on that because it’s not my problem. If it doesn’t refer to anybody in black and purple, I really could care less."

telling u Matt slept with a coaches wife or daughter or something.

You are so darn close. My feeling is that WHIZ more worried about his daughters dating Matt rather those religious types like Kurt and Hall. LOL

So Boldin steps out and says it's personal. Pretty much what I figured. Shane??

Where does he say it's personal? How do we know he's not just referring to Matt's work ethic and inattention to detain? I was occasionally accused of playing favorites but it was never truly personal for me. I favored those employees that worked hard and tried to excel at every task assigned them.

I dont see anything that says its personal. Just says that they dont have a relationship. Glazer also came out and said that Matt didnt have one with Warner either. Sounds to me like Matt is the issue. Who cant have a relationship with Kurt?

Shane might be lucky that Boldin stopped short - his head might explode with Q and Whis scuffling inside.

Shane, how would you have termed Q and Whis' relationship?

I would have termed as no relationship. Just a working one nothing more or less.

Really? I sensed some animosity from Q's side, but he is a workhorse and let it blow off for the good of the team.

On Q's side there was initially from the time Whiz tried to get involved in his contract. Telling him to just play. But he let it blow over just like you said it wasnt an issue later. Team came first. I dont think Whiz held any animosity.

This is just a weeding out of DG players by Whis now that he has the say so. Your right there has never been much of a relationship there. Kurt was held on to to get Matt up to NFL speed. He was better than being a back up and WHis saw this. The rest is history. Matt was told to work hard and he would get his chance this season. It was really to get him more tradeable. Probably didn't work. The mystic around the juggernaut team that DG and Whis put together is ending and we have to move on to the full on Whis portion of the program. Guys like DD and AW pwr this team and we need to support all Cardinals offense and defense and hope DA keeps the seat hot while he is on it until we get a Qb that is more to CKW liking. I both love and blame Kurt Warner. He was just that damn good for a short period of time.

That and the "man enough" commment. I don't think Q liked Whis much, and Whis didn't care...used the man for what he was built to to..move the chains.

But it is interesting to me that Q broached the Whis/Matt relationship given that I don't think Q has much love for Whis anyway. Would have loved to have more from that viewpoint...next up, Big Ben.

I heard this interview on Bickley and MJ yesterday and Boldin didn't say anything bad about Matt. In fact he said he went to the pro bowl with Matt as his quarterback "and that's all he has to say about that."

I actually thought Boldin was classy about it. He knew the question was going to come up, he respected his former teammates and didn't say much, then he spun it back to the Ravens which is what matters to him now.

Kurt was brought in to get Matt up to NFL speed. He was better than being a back up and WHis saw this. The rest is history.

???

I keep seeing this version of events on non-Cardinal boards, and I can understand it there, but have Cardinal fans themselves forgotten how things went down?

Solid post!

It was when he was scratched from the Chi game, and didn't know until walking to the lockerroom and his stuff had been removed. He said "I wish someone (CKW) would have been man enough to come and talk to me about it."

I was going to suggest someone should ask Boldin because he's not here and more free to talk.
