Wow. That's interesting. Who thinks that TJ racks up more yards than Benson next season?

I do. Hes a better RB. Although I dunno about the Jets O-line as a whole. But Ill still give it to TJ.

Man, if the Jets got Jones for the price of only moving down a half-dozen or so spots in the second round, that's an absolute steal for them.

Well, the Jets' O-line isn't deep, but the left side of their line (Ferguson--Kendall--Mangold) is interesting. They have an intriguing ORG in Brandon Moore, and Anthony Clement has been at least steady for them at RT last season.

The Jets' O-line wasn't as good as the Bears' was last season, but I bet that TJ gets a lot more chances to catch the ball next year.

Wow, that doesn't seem like much of a deal for the Bears!

No doubt. There has got to me more to the deal then that. Such as a 2008 conditional pick or something.

Or the Jets just completely robbed the Bears.

The Bears' lockerroom can't be too happy about this. They loved TJ. Thought he was a tough guy and a hard worker. No one on that offense liked Ced.

ESPN.com reports that the Jets have agreed to acquire Thomas Jones and a second-round pick (No. 63 overall) from the Bears for the 37th pick in the draft.

Ridiculous...a steal.

I think this is a good example of the reasons Briggs doesn't want to play for the Bears.

Do the Jets have the 37th pick in the draft from an earlier trade? Oh, was it something with the Redskins? How'd they get that pick?

Great move for the Jets, though. I wonder if they don't like Michael Bush. It seems like that 37th pick would have been a good spot to take him. Regardless, they're probably going to have to extend TJ's deal to make it worthwhile.

So the Jets only move down 26 spots in the 2nd and come out of it with a starting RB.

Bears stink.

K9, you just don't get it, do you? When ASFN still had press access, we told you time and again that Jones was a surly loner. The Bears "just loved him."

Then why is this the 4th team to dump him? Thomas Jones is a perpetual victim, always unhappy with his pay and his role.

Is everything
And the Jets have now just jumped the pats.

Let's not get carried away. It's only Thomas Jones were talking about. The Pats have gotten TE Kyle Brady (Jaguars), LB Adalius Thomas (Ravens), and RB Sammy Morris (Dolphins) in FA so far.
