My fiancee's mom and dad are Colts season ticket holders. Have been for 20 years. They didn't get chosen in the team lotto for a chance to buy Super Bowl tickets.
They've been calling ticket brokers and the cheapest "package" (air + 2 nights hotel + game ticket) they've been able to find is $5500 per person. Even though they do OK financially they decided that was just insane.
So how about it? If it were the Cardinals (and let's assume you're not a millionaire for whom money is no object) would you pay that? That strikes me as completely insane. The Super Bowl would be incredible, but that's about 10-20% of the average person's salary for a year. We paid $900 apiece for White Sox world series tickets and I thought that was nuts.
(ps - if you know of a better deal pass it on!)
