My point exactly. Now it's in phil's best interest to accept the best offer currently on the table.
If in fact Phil does "cave" in the end, then depending on what that cave is, McD should get a statue in downtown Phx--especially if the trade doesn't involve Booker and Chriss/Bender.

Unless Boston blow them out of the water - which is a possibility considering just how stocked they are - I'd see little reason anyone would trade a potential superstar to a division rival...if he blows up you have to look at him over and over again; trade him to a different conference and it's a far less in-your-face painful experience.

We're a pretty good chance here.

If he is on the table we need to make a serious push.

I'd rank KP, Booker and Towns as the top 3 young players in the NBA... getting 2 of them at once... can't pass that up.

I'd prefer something like #4, Bledsoe, Bender, Warren and a Miami pick. But I'd do #4, Bledsoe, Criss... and if that wasn't enough I'd be willing to do one of those "take the lesser of ours and Miami's pick" during both years we have those picks.

Gambo talking right now. Says his NY sources tell there is no deal pending with the Suns. Said the Suns made and offer that did not include Booker and there was no getting by the Suns unwillingness to part with Booker.

Deal is dead. He said that any Celtics deal is dead too. They want a young star and that star is Booker.

Booker is the one untouchable on our team. NY has to know this. This could be some Phil Jackson mind f#ck directed at Porzingas himself. Phil was more concerned the Unicorn skipped his exit interview with Sir Sleepiness.

I don't know why people want to move Chriss. Knicks are looking for a robbery here. #4 pick is a pretty valuable pick too.

I don't want to move Criss, I think he and KP would be a phenomenal front court pairing, but you've got to give something to get something. IMP KP's value is well above the fourth pick, if he were in this draft I think he would be the clear cut top pick.

Seriously, if he stays healthy (and he's been solid thus far) I think he is a hall of fame talent. To get that kind of player at his age... it's really hard to say what would be "robbery" by the Knicks. Obsiouvly we're not giving them Booker, but I think 5, 10 years down the road they're going to look really stupid for having traded Porzingis... if they trade him.

I hadn't thought of the zen-mind-f#ck angle.

Celtics are in similar spot as suns, if i'm them i dont know if i can give up 3 young assets. Knicks would want # 3 pick this year, brooklyn next year and probably jaylen brown.

They trade away their entire rebuild... for a guy who could be an even better Nowitzki

Is my thought... and if I was them, I probably do it. Porzinigis is still super young AND has shown a hell of a lot on the floor already. They also have cap space to go after someone big.

if you told me this Celtics team could add Porzingis and a MAX player, isn't the rebuild done?

Suppose you don't get The Unicorn, even if they take Josh Jackson, or whoever, they are sitting pretty. They could afford to stay pat one more year when next year's draft is projected to be better and they have picks there!

Most ideal deal would be Bender+Len+Knight for Porzingis, but Knicks must be a little more stupider than their average to agree.

Ok. Now we drafted and we have Jackson...NICE. I know Phil Jackson wanted OUR Jackson but umm... I dont know now. I'm feeling a little attached to JJ already. He's already feeling 'untouchable'...:)

Is there anyway to get Porzingis without giving up part of our expanding core??

I want to keep...

Booker
Bledsoe
Jackson
Chriss

and I want to add

PORZINGIS!

Is this even possible to pull this off?

How about...

Len, Bender, both Miami picks, 2018 Suns pick for KP.

Bender is young and would be a bit redundant with having KP on the team. Len is Len...some team still might find potential in him... he's young and big and has flashes. With KP the Suns pick would probably be a mid to late first rounder. The Miami picks could be decent.

I know, this trade probably doesn't have a shot in hell but wtf... I'm in love with our players. I don't want to give up Jackson! I'd really like to have Chriss stay too BUT if they wanted Chris instead of Bender we'd prolly have to pull the trigger.

What about taking in Noah's stupid contract? Would that help?

Well, we're not giving up Booker, obviously.

But I don't see how we can get Porzingis without giving up at least one, probably 2 of that 'core'... and taking back Noah's stupid contract while we're at it.

Gotta think about it like this; what would it take to get us to even listen to offers for Booker? The Knicks shouldn't even be fielding calls for KP but they've poisoned the well with him, even still, it will take a lot to get him.

And I'd totally do a Bledsoe, Jackson (or Chriss), and some pick options for KP and Noah's garbage contract.

Porzingis might just be out of reach for now. I'm really unsure about even throwing Chriss/Bender/Jackson at him because we don't know what we are giving up.... either one of those players could turn into a superstud....or not. But we'd have to give up someone...plus picks.
