Brown is good and may have more value than Chriss but if we add Warren/Bledsoe to Chriss and #3 then they don't have any actual players to add who can match that.

I agree if warren is added. I dont know if bledsoe has any value to them if they are trying to move Melo and start over, much like the Suns. Id say Suns have more chips to bargain with here unless Knicks really want Josh Jackson

I am not giving up bender, chriss and #4.

I am.

Bender is years away from becoming anyway close to Porzingis, Chriss has shown potential but he obviously no Amare Stoudemire while I don't like #4 regarding star-potential unless Jackson is available (which he won't, IMO).

So I think that is an easy yes from the Suns but I just don't see why the Knicks would agree due the above reasons.

On likelihood of a KP deal, "There's no way that we'd trade him now unless we got someone we're even higher on in return."

Knicks ultimately probably just wanted to test the market for what they could get.

Why would any other team give up a player, players, or picks that they are higher on than KP? If the Knicks aren't as high on KP as they are on the package they are getting, why would the team they are trading with be? The team that has him in practice every day, watches him in games every day? You sometimes have to trade a player because you need someone else in your system, or there are other factors. But to come out and say, "The only way we trade KP, is if you give us something better than him" is saying "we will only make trades with fools."

This is just a mind game to get KP to call home. PJ has no interest in trading KP.

In what world is this beneficial to the Knicks in "getting kristaps home". There is zero positive here for Knicks

I said, "call home" as in give Phil Jackson a call. KP has been incommunicado since the season ended and Phil is ticked.

If a team is trading for Porzingis they would be talking to him prior to the trade. Hmm.

This would be a huge indicator.

this is INSANE. Bender hasn't shown the ability to stretch the floor or handle the ball remarkably well... or be a quality rim protector and shot blocker. Porzingis has shown ALL of that.

And then you go and say Bender is much further along in his development? WTF are you talking about?

And, there's no comparison between the two athletically speaking.

Seriously, this is one of the least informed posts I've ever read on this site.

My mistake, I meant that Porzingis was much further along in his development. Watch the pre-draft material on Kristaps and Dragan and you'll see they're more similar than different.

Yeah. Rosen is imho the biggest hack writer out there. Phil Jackson's annoying puppet.
Idk if Rosen hadn't done this too another player (Carmelo) that Phil was fueding with, then I wouldn't be so dismissive of what Rosen has to say.

Ryan Curillo was on M and M this morning and said it would take Booker and #4...and that he thinks KP is so much better than Booker that the Suns should do it...also said he give up more than that to get KP. Hopefully he doesn't have Sarver on speed dial.

To my recollection, the Melo piece was one in a long line of PR articles Rosen has written on behalf of his pal Phil.

When does that line become tampering, considering the player in question is an under-contract member of another team?

The team trying to trade for Porzingis would need permission from the Knicks to talk to him no doubt.

Interestingly enough, I'm not hearing any team doing this.

I wouldn't do the deal if I couldn't talk to the guy for 5 minutes on the phone. How do we even know he's alive? The Suns could be emptying the vault for a corpse.

Ask for a writ of habeas corpus. :)
